The Hobbit Hole XXXII - Sweet is the sound of falling rain
The Freeper Hobbit Hole Blog ^ | December 1, 2006

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

But then I found out it was the bleach interacting with the residual deodorant. So I stopped using bleach

Well, it beats the other option....

Hate it when feathers get all over your other stuff.

No kidding, feathers are so hard to get out of cotton.

We ventured out into the storm for paint and beer. Now we're supplied for a snow-in, if necessary.

Best of all, the "Serving Suggestion" at the top of the label: "Drink". LOL!

Been a rather nice day here. Sun shining, in the 50s.

Picked Luke up from a friend's house and then took him to be sheared. I got tired of telling him to comb his hair.

Has the missus noticed? :~)

I've had rain and sunshine. No thunder since Miss Cat wanted breakfast.

Let this not be yet one more project he starts but never finishes :~)

Seems like they spent a lot of time for what little seems to be done. But hopefully they'll finish.

I have my doubts about the old pumps leaving their spot anytime soon, though. Ungh. They aren't exactly decorative.

Spent the afternoon reading and cleaning, and now I'm toying with the idea of using the gift card I got last week when I bought the vacuum for buying a blender. My life is sooooo exciting.

What time did you want to watch LOST? I also have two movies...The Prestige and Waking Ned Devine, if you're interested in either.

I've never heard of either one :~)

I just stressed ecurbh out by trying to talk him into going somewhere tomorrow... maybe Sekiu. Did you know he's not very spontaneous? I didn't. May do a day trip, but not sure. It's a little too early for day trips, the days not being very long and all.

LOST any time, really... How about now?

Is The Prestige about Houdini? or is it some other story? I understand its about magicians.

How about six o'clock or so? Gotta finish something up real quick.

Where's Sekiu? Yet another interesting name...gotta love that about this area.

Since when have either of you been very spontaneous? :-)

What's the opposite of spontaneous? That's more like me. I need a while to adjust to a plan.

I don't think it's about magicians who actually existed...but I think it takes place in about the same time. It's about a couple of magicians who are one another's competitors, trying to one-up one another...best I can understand without having seen it. ;-)

Despite the opinions of Ents, hobbitses are not very spontaneous, I'd say. Not very hasty folk.
