Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
We love our piano, but have to admit we miss the sound and feel of a ~real~ acoustic piano.
One of these days I'll start practicing again...
If'n your in Glen Allen, you'd certainly better!

In fact, come on by twice...
We had a big windstorm in NJ one night. It had been raining heavily for several days before that. We had a spruce tree in our front yard that must have been over 20' tall. I walked by the front window that next morning, and saw it. I came back through the room a hour later, and that sucker was flat on the ground!! The roots obviously worked loose during the night, and it had begun to fall, only I didn't notice it. The root system on that thing was wide, but not that deep, and the entire thing just came up out of the ground.
Going there, and coming back!
Glad yer back, Corin. How was the trip?
It was a good trip. Thanks.
It's 46" - which is on the short end of the range for Petrof, but kind of in the middle of the range for uprights overall.
That's typical for coniferous trees. I have a hard time saying coniferous these days... Big'ol got me started calling them carniverous trees while we were hiking around the PA outback and now I can't stop. :P
Some of the Wilsonart laminates are top notch. Their HD line has a lovely subtle texture.... just enough to catch the light, but not enough to catch dirt. Since our cabin kitchen is so small we just might be able to afford that grade of laminate in it. That said, Corian is completely worth the money.
Well, we'll see. I seem to be seriesly hit by the home improvement bug. I think it's that I'm finally realizing that this is our place and nobody but us gets a say in it. And the whole exercise of designing the kitchen in my head sparked things. I love cooking, just love it, and having a lousy work space ruins things. Though my work space isn't that bad. It's just the counter and sink are nasty and there's no dishwasher and very limited counterspace.
Crockpotted a pork roast for dinner tonight. Hope it comes out right... it's mostly in a honey mustard and soy sauce marinage, Talon will start it when he comes home at lunch.

Have you had to strip wallpaper yet? :)
Yikes...way to take out all the fun...
Hehehe....
No, we have no wallpaper in our house except a border around the kitchen ceiling. Don't know how we managed that considering the hideous carpet and the ugly, ugly, ugly paint in the main bedroom when Talon bought the house. He got those fixed long before I moved in.

I still can't figure out quite where you have to have your fingers to get that...
Izzit Jack yet?
You have to have your fingers in the wrong place to get that! :~)
Jack tonight :~)
