Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
Mmmm.... pie.
Oh, yay, lunchtime. I'd been a good day so far but man am I hungry!
I agree, if it's all wet, it'd be good to open it up at least to let it dry... the insulation and the sheetrock are probably toast... or whatever the soggy equivalent of toast is.
Cream of Wheat?
That's right...that's exactly what I'm thinking...
Maybe we could construct something...an insulated board or something that could be bolted up and easily unbolted and removed...something I could unbolt and remove when we're not out there. The insulation doesn't need to be there during the summer...we rarely use the AC. We use the heat a lot more.
Something we could maybe just bolt up when we're working out there and have the heat going...
I dunno...just milling it over in my head.
Bread pudding :~)
Hey!! I bet I know what I could do!!
That outside foam insulation paneling...like they nail to the outsides of houses under the trim or brick?
I could make panels that fit that wall inside the shop. It would be enouph insulation to keep the heat in (rather than just the bare metal exterior wall) and would likely be somewhat water-proof. I could just bolt them up, take them down if the area gets wet, let the panels and the area dry, then bolt them back back up!
I bet I could even paint it.
I'm fixing to make some waffles. Got a wafflemaker for myself, and one for each of the older boys for Christmas. It's handy-dandy! Made Buttermilk-Chocolate Chip waffles last time. This time, I'm thinking Buttermilk-Pecan. Mmmm.
You should try my yeast-risen waffles...they are the BEST!
You start them the night before.
I just took this picture of Gidget through the window, sitting there with her shoe. This pose just cracks me up, she does this alot. She looks like a little church lady sitting there all proper, with her legs crossed, clutching her handbag. :~)
Ugh - look at the state of our lawn! Remember how green and lush everything was when you were here? I want spring, I want to plant grass again!
Heh heh...she's a good girl.
That's the stuff I'm talking about! "Closed Cell"...it would afford a bit of insulation, yet be maintainable.
I'd put it up and paint it...or put wallpaper on it even...
But as we know, she's anything *but* proper, really...
Cute picture, though. ;-)
I swear I don't have any idea what you mean by that ;~)
Uh-huh. Sure...
But I can't say anything. You could pull out the Cisco / May pictures.
Heh... The keeper of the embarrassing photos holds the power :~)
Heh...
Well, we're gonna go load another truckload of branches.
If we get this all cleaned up and you hear of another wind storm coming, please just shoot me. :~)
Greetings. Posting from work, here. Yes, they let us back into our offices. The majority of my colleagues spent these two days kibbitzing and watching Mail Call videos. Me, well, I got work done. That's me. Little Miss Type-A overachiever. *sigh* Class tonite. I'll prolly have to catch American Idol on dvr.
Oh
why not
