Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
Ah...thank you.
From what OB tells me, the main roads are in great shape; it's just the secondary roads, side streets, and everybody's yard that's a mess!
Yes. Steve took 412 all the way to Enid and the office is a block off of 412...so I feel pretty good about it.
I hope he calls me when he's on his way back.
I don't know anything about Enid...but as long as it's in Oklahoma, it's all right with me.
Our sidestreets are better than OP's sidestreets. :)
Here's something you might get a kick out of...

Go to the link, click on the word "Stranded" in the upper right hand corner and watch the video.
I actually got the jedis out of bed last night to get up and watch this!
HUH! Yes, that really is remarkable!
Perfect huh. Let's see if they'll send out the Animal Control people to do something about these squirrels.
My (old) church, of which I am still a member, is planning on taking a group of DR workers to McAlaster, to come home on Monday. If I don't have to drive, I might be able to go...the ability to drive in this weather is what is stopping me...having grown up south of Houston.
Heh heh! Did they have the guy on there that says "I wish that helicopter would come blow some cars back on the road by my house."? They did on the news last night...but I can't watch it online due to dialup being so slow.
Heh heh! You know...I really love Oklahoma!
Heh... that's really something. I wouldn't have thought that would work.
Oh that IS lovely country!!
Aw Dang!! I liked Art Buchwald! Such a curmudgeon!
Clever girl!
I remember reading when he'd decided not to have the dialysis, figuring he'd lived a good long life, and why go through the hassle. I'm thinking I might think the same thing if I make it to that age and are faced with that. I'm glad he was able to hang on as long as he did.
Steve's done with the interview. They talked for almost 2 hours. He's on his way back, but he teaches his class tonight and will be going straight there.
Oh, WOW! That's terrific that the rotor wash was able to slide that deer across the ice like that!
I was praying for him to have a good interview! Hope it went well!
I was really hoping to not have to move from the Tulsa area, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
