The Hobbit Hole XXXII - Sweet is the sound of falling rain
The Freeper Hobbit Hole Blog ^ | December 1, 2006

Posted on 12/01/2006 12:55:15 PM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Was he the one that had Bruce Lee for a chauffeur?

LOL! That, I DON'T remember!

I'll continue Jeanne on the prayer line!

A new t-post and the fence stood back up again...

Bay's got a fir branch in his mouth, trying to figure out if these branches that are strewn all over are at least good eating... :~)

I'm not exactly sure what to think of this

I think it's a new form of spam. It's also an attempt to mine email addresses.

Still, judging by the title of the site, it can't possibly be anything to do with the democRAT party.

Apparently he played Kato, chauffeur for the Green Hornet. 'Course, I always referred to these things as green hornets.

Kind of surprised that tree survived the big storm only to fall now. Or was the wind from a different direction this time?

This time it was coming from just about the opposition direction, but it could be it just has had one gust too many :~) Glad it went this time rather than last, it could have hit the barn if it went the other way.

I'm glad to have it down now, it's long dead, and I feared it falling on the trucks. It was only a matter of time, we talked about cutting it down last summer.

Heh...so, don't have to thin trees, don't have to cut down the dead ones. Storms are good for something...even if they have side effects...

About time to go get glasses. I hate eye exams...though it'll be interesting to see if this place using something more sophisticated than changing out glass lenses in a drop down viewer for thirty minutes or so. Dunno if much has changed in the world of eye exams.

Hope they do let me use my current frames. I've accepted that this'll cost, but...

<smile> No, Green Hornet was a TV hero whose chauffeur was Bruce Lee.

I remember watching it, and oh, I loved Bruce Lee!
