The Hobbit Hole XXXII - Sweet is the sound of falling rain
The Freeper Hobbit Hole Blog ^ | December 1, 2006

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Of all the visuals in that video, that's what you remember?

I had to find an alternate point to focus on or more brain cells would have died.

Ungh...a week from today I fly down to San Francisco.

If I don't forget. Considering how I've been functioning lately, I could almost see that happening.

I'm trying to figure how this would ever be a good idea...

Stove, sink, fridge combo

Well if someone had a vey tiny apartment, they'd not want to waste space on several different appliances. It says vintage. Looks like something out of the 40's. I wonder when it was made.

It is painful to watch, isn't it?

Just seems like the stovetop, even underneath, would heat through into the fridge. But maybe not.

Gotta be well insulated, that's for sure.

It's 5:20 A.M. Central time and I am leaving on my trip now, I'll post when I get back, which should be tomorrow night.

It's vey cute, at least.

Mmm. Sticks of bran cereal and bacon for breakfast. I ate just the bran yesterday, could barely eat 3/4 of a cup, and wondered why I had no energy. Then I looked at the box and realized I'd only eaten 75 calories.

God rest Dr. Atkins, my jeans-which-did-not-zip two weeks ago zip, albeit really tightly. The post-Thanksgiving weight is off and I'm starting into the post-wedding five pounds.

That thing's pretty cool! Would be cool for a tiny cabin, or maybe one of those ice fishing houses :~)

Are you going to the service Graybeard? Oh that's just great. Look forward to hearing when you get back.

I think gusts to 33 is the highest I've seen for around here.

That may knock the power out for a little bit.

I have water, and the flashlight's in a good place, as are candles. ;-) I'd still rather not use 'em, but we'll see.

Yes. Yes, it is.

I am going home for lunch (got a stir fry marinating and Talon's going to join me) and would like to just not come back.
