We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
First--Virginia.
Sad to say, not going to get there.
With 99.75% of the precincts reporting (side note, this is supposed to be an electronic state--there are still outstanding votes?)...
Allen: -0.36%
Pricincts Out: 6
Estimated Votes Remaning: 6,000
Allen Deficit: 8,359
What is interesting is that all of the late precincts, which are predominately early voters, are breaking heavily for Webb--90% or better in most cases. With the remaining votes, if they continue to break for Webb, there won't be an automatic recount.
The big story in the state? The marriage amendment. Time and again in precinct decomposition, it could be seen that predominately black precincts were going overwhelmingly for the amendment, but the same precincts were trouncing Allen. Conclusion--black congregations turned out big time to vote for marriage. While there, heck, punch the screen for Webb. Kind of ironic--a iconic conservative issue does in the conservative.
Frankly, it's hard to say there's something up, because "early voting" areas do, in fact, correlate with blue areas. We'll see.
Now, for the rest of the story.
It is looking like the RAT party will have somewhere around 230 seats in the 110th Congress. We will have Speaker Pelosi, and chairmans of the ilk that includes Rangell, Waxman, Conyers, Dingell, and so on.
In the Senate--it's up to Virginia and Montana. If we win one of those states, the senate has 50 Republicans. If we win both, 51. Again, there's a certain sanguinity about Virginia. Montana's not that great either, though there's only about 2,000 votes separating the two, with the RAT leading, 91% in, with about 32,000 votes left to count. Obviously, if we lose both, we lose the Senate.
Some good news out of all this--many of the liberal Republicans in the Senate are gone. This will give us the opportunity to build up a solid conservative foundation on the Senate side. In the House, we've got to find Newt II, though with a bit more suave than Newt.
Moving forward, the media says the election was about Iraq, immigration, and corruption. Forget the last two. By the time folks rolled into the ballot box, the corruption surrounding, for example, Foley had faded into the past. Immigration is rather neutral, actually. It had enough proponets and detractors that it probably washed out.
Then there's Iraq. The media, naturally, says the vote was against being in Iraq.
Nope, wrong answer. The correct thing is people are wanting to GET IT DONE! They don't see progress, but then media types haven't been to good at showing progress. The prediction here is that it'll be like the homeless, not a problem now that RATS are in charge somewhere. They have a plan, after all. (By the way, when it's found, ping the assembled.)
But, as usual, the media got it half right. People, in my opinion, and based on those I have talked to, see America over-focused on Iraq. Can't say as I blame them. President Bush said there were three entities in the Axis of Evil, Iraq, Iran, and North Korea. We eliminated one, but what about the other two?
One went on and developed nuclear weapons, the other is on its way. That's scaring the bejesus out of the average American, particularly as they see the United States being relatively impotent on the matter. We keep yapping, but they keep right on with their nuclear programs. The American people, I would argue, demand action in these areas; Iraq would be much less of an issue if we could address Iran and North Korea.
The other piece of good news is we still have over 40 Senators. The RATS will now learn how hard it is to run the Senate.
Short run prediction, the White House will trot up a budget in February for fiscal year 2008 that will have bunches of goodies in it, daring the House to say "no". It is the opening shot of the 2008 campaign.
And what about the 2008 campaign? Here's the really big message from last night. It is clear that coattails are back in play. Whoever runs in 2008 will have them. We need a big time, brand name Republican to run for the White House.
At the moment, the marquis is empty. Looking for volunteers.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Tell your nephew I am so proud of him and I thank him for his sacrifice and service to our country.
I can imagine it is extremely frustrating. And they won't write about what is really happening because it doesn't fit their agenda. It makes me furious.
Back to weight conscious eating for both of us.
After comfort foods yesterday (election results)....it's discipline time again.
No doubt this is nothing like what the democrats will want, hoever.
They sat out this election to spite Bush they now can't complain when he tries to shove the illegals getting rights down our throats.
I do not want a guest worker plan either, but the GOP House was our firewall and it's gone!
Now the "teach the GOP a lesson" and the smug third party voters and posters are just beginning to see the error of their ways. Of course most are blaming Presidemt Bush... nothing new there.
They have incredible expectations! Little Nancy and her group are going to make everything great in America again and their first step is the impeachment of our President.
Some of these "Americans" want President Bush to go on trial, just like Saddam, and when found guilty, be hung.
It is frightening and disgusting!!!!!
This tagline will turn a few heads..:-)
Well, I peaked at 230 lbs around 12 years ago. Today, I'm sitting at 157 and the doctor told me to get back to 170! LOL!
LOL -- I posted to you on that thread! I love your tagline and I have a new one too.
I'll be in and out for a while. I'll catch your back when I'm here. LOL!
Act by 'martyr' to protest war in Iraq a futile gesture ('JUST DAMN' ALERT)
Have a good morning everyone.
I'm back from my catch-up sleep and announcing herewith that when ANYthing adverse in the next 2 years happens to our troops, our economy, and our quality of life, I WILL immediately lay the blame where it belongs....IT'S PELOSI'S FAULT!
I have to get moving myself...my day off was cancelled and I have to work till 9 again tonight.....so back later.
Living at that level of anger for too long will make you nuts, and that's a fact.
Bella Pelosi --- LOL
Well, just a good morning to you... Guess what, a whole new world in politics is upon us, I trust that the 'defeated' pubs got the message and that the potential elected officials got the message, sell us out and you will not get the chance to use the federal credit card...
AND---DO NOT, repeat, DO NOT sell the pub president out!!!!
Gotta run some kids into town for school, parents took a day off (I can understand why too).
I very much think the gas companies know what's up, you're exactly right.
Jemian, we will keep close eye on the RATS for any anti-military defunding activities. I think it's different this time, I don't think the American people want to have another Vietnam retreat....even though they short-sightedly put the traitors in power.
You know those of us on FR, Rush, Sean, other conservatives will howl to the MOON should that stuff start up. I'm praying we don't have that re-dux again.
Nope, haven't heard from Mozie...I expect she's grinning from ear to ear even in her sleep!
Take care jemian and please let that soldier son know how proud and grateful we all are. I hold all our military in my heart and prayers every single day.
It's just my opinion, but I think a condom would have worked better.
Morning sweetie! You hurry back.
Lovely day here! Sun is bright, skies are clear and the temperature is a nice 68 degrees! Supposed to get to 80 today. WOO-HOO!
