While my wife is not Vietnamese, she is Korean, she is very likely to take great offense at Webb's "monkey face" remarks. (Not that she was going to vote for Webb anyway, but she's sure to tell her Korean circle.)

From Jim Geraghty's TKS spot on National Review online:

If the mood and values of barbershop staff and patrons in Bluffton, South Carolina is comparable to the mood and values of Virginians south of Alexandria, Jim Webb is in serious trouble with those book excerpts. Apparently it was on the morning shows today, and boy, were people flabbergasted by what Webb wrote.

Here's what gets me - the Webb campaign seems blindsided by this. Didn't anybody on his campaign actually read his books?
