It took me a while to thread into the new version of BG but I'm hooked on it now!

This is a pretty common problem with writers in general. They write about writers too much. The author wrote a very precise line: "It's not entirely clear why, though viewers historically have not swarmed to inside showbiz dramas."
"Dramas" haven't worked, but comedies have done great: Dick Van Dyke and Mary Tyler Moore come to mind immediately, a little stretching gives us the Larry Sanders Show, and possibly even WKRP In Cincinatti would qualify.

My husband got very mad at BSG because they had a suicide bomber on the season premier.
I still like it, and I hope they get back onto finding earth.
It's a lot more entertaining than many shows on TV.

Wait. What? People still watch TV? And network TV at that? Why? I think for the same reason some people post on threads that don't interest them declaring their undying disinterest.

For some reason I am positively giddy this show is not doing well. It represents everything about Hollywood I hate.

"Studio 60" is a bust.
Oh, I don't know. Lightning fast, sardonic, sarcastic repartee seems to be the order of the day for most TV fair these days. Besides, I didn't know the guy from "friends" could actually act.
I'll give it one star.

Really? I haven't watched ER in years, but I think bringing John Stamos on seems to have worked.

I agree "Heroes" is a show with more creativity than one can usually find on NBC.
So far the writers have not spent all their time Bush- bashing or trying get Hillary elected Presdient.
But since the season is still young, I hope this apolitical trend continues.

What about Cold Case. I love that show. It could be a family show - teens anyway. I would imagine that some stories might not be appropriate, but I think it has some good stuff. I love 24, Law and Orders, CSI's, Without a Trace and that is about it. I think that most of those would be on the Republican side of politics. lol. Well some Law and Orders might be questionable.

Extreme Makeover Home Edition is definitely a family show and is good for the most part....very sappy though.
Wifeswap is just a hoot!!! That show is just insane sometimes. I ask my wife all the time if she wants to switch with another wife. She always looks at me like I am insane.

"Smith is already gone, after 2 epi's aired. " Is it really? I hadn't heard that. Good, it was a terrible show.
What about "The Class"? That one needs to go.

This is the one with alec baldwin in it, isn't it? Funny they didn't mention that as a factor in their failure.

Anyone care to trade the 2006 NMC fall line-up with lets pick a year at random - 1968
I would. Back then we had six stations and there always seemed to be something on worth watching. Today with satellite and countless choices, there are many nights when there is nothing on.
NBC 1968
Wonderful World of Disney
Bonanza
Phyllis Diller Show
I Dream of Jeannie
Rowan and Martins Laugh-In
Jerry Lewis Show
The Virginian
Kraft Music Hall
Daniel Boone
Ironside
Dragnet
Dean Martin Show
The High Chaparral
Star Trek
Adam 12
Get Smart
Ghost and Mrs. Muir
And then there were the Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday NBC Night at the Movies
