Wonder what he'd think of Boston?

Steinbrenner's making a major league mistake imho.

Almost 12 hours after this thread was posted and neither has come to pass.

No... but I'll root for the team that conquered the so-called "evil empire" in '06.

I'm not an Athletic's fan and I sure as heck will never cheer on a team from the old circuit.

BREAKING: George Costanza Named New Manager Of The Yankees!

Great News! Now they'll be playing in cotton uniforms. It breathes, you see, and it's much softer. They're more comfortable...they're happier - they're gonna play better.

If only Torre had grasped the concept.

Any chance he'll bring in Keith Hernandez?

This could work, if George abstains from sex.

George: Guys, hitting is not about muscle. It's simple physics. Calculate the velocity, v, in relation to the trajectory, t, in which g, gravity, of course remains a constant. (Hits a home run) It's not complicated.

Jeter: Now who are you again?

George: George Costanza, assistant to the traveling secretary.

Williams: Are you the guy who put us in that Ramada in Milwaukee?

George: Do you wanna talk about hotels, or do you wanna win some ball games?

Jeter: We won the World Series.

George: In six games.

Hilarious segment, but the whole eggplant thing seemed out of place. I mean, who likes eggplant? If I crave a calzone, it's because of the cheese and meat, not the eggplant. In fact, leave that crap out.

Why give Cashman a hard time? He probably does his best while carrying out his bosses orders, no matter how stupid they are. I think the Yankees biggest mistake was not signing Beltran, instead or in addition to Damon. But Cashman did a good job on the trading deadlines trades.

I'm not sure what this refers to? You mean when they were in Philly?

I guess it's clear that no matter who they beat, they won't get any respect or support.

Agh!

I'm pulling for the Tigers to win it all... if they get beat by the Athletics then I'll root for the Athletics... I'll never pull for a National League team in future World Series (unless the Red Sox make it to the Series... in the future).

Now excuse... I'm noe in NFL mode... hoping the Jerry "dingleberry" Jonez' Dullus Cowgirlz get owned by the bEagles.

Way back when Torre was a catcher for the Milwaukee Braves, his manager Bobby Bragan suggested that he be nicknamed Chicken:

Chicken Catcher Torre

That is insane to fire Joe. It isn't his fault. All they need is 2 good starting pitchers. This story doesn't say he is going to be fired. It just says he might be.
