Well this is the live thread for Season 3 of Battlestar Galactica.. Basically for people who lives in the Eastern and Central times zones. There will be another thread for the Western Time Zone...
So say we all..
she's dead.
unless she was a cylon.
That is my point ;)
Mark
A wasted episode. Kara's psycho mom died of cancer, and finally witnessing the end will make Kara unafraid of "what lies between life and death".
More blanderings from the now-highly-confused Ronald D. Moore without any weight behind it because we have no idea what this development actually means.
I'm now officially moving this show to my "see it only if I hear it's a good episode" list. Such a shame.
Hey next episode is supposed to be good. We learn more about "the plan", and it's gonna be more like law and order.
She's dead Jim. I mean Kevin. . . . .
Will someone shoot Cally???
Whoa, no comments? I would think that revealing four of the final five and the return of Starbuck would bring at least a couple of comments.
Well the next season starts in 2008. Cheers!
Wow this was a dissapointing second half to season 3. It really finished off weak. This episode was much better, but the they needed less filler episodes. Adm. Adama is the freaking man! I love this guy what can I say?
No kidding. The really should have had more perspectives from Baltar, less space opera scenes, and more action. I have a feeling that they blew their entire budget during the first half so they had to cut back on stuff for the second half. Perhaps that also explains why the next season is only 13 episodes.
So the question of the day is whether Starbuck is the fifth of the final five (or just part of Apollo's imagination). Her actions before she disappeared seem similar to what the four did in this episode. And what was going on with Baltar at the very end?
There is going to be plenty of time to debate it I guess (9 months!).
Some of you are really reading too much into the show. The original BSG had anti-semitism themes in it too. They were pagans. They didnt belive in the christian gods... they were based roughly on the lost 13 tribes of Isreal. LIKE the current system. AS for the sucide bombers and the anti-american thoughts... its a SCI-FI show... from the charecters points of view they wont know who or what america is. Its not in the future, its in another part of the galexy. COME ON PEOPLE be smarter than the other guy.
Now for the other parts about the actual show... the last season was good, it did a good job of starting off with a massive amount of action but had to slow down to show the faults in the charecters, the new faults. The new divides, the new problems. I am surprised no one picked up on the interesting fact that the “new” cylons (Tigh, Rosslen, her aide, Chief, and Starbucks “ex”) all heard and qouted lines from All along the watchtower. That they had been hearing radio broadcasts from earth in their heads. BTW outstanding version of the song they redid. Also the nice little twist from the Razor. Nice how the original cylon/human hybrid could see the future and said dont trust Starbuck, she will lead humanity to their doom.... And then “BAM!” she shows back up in her Viper from no where after fling into a, I guess, a blackhole. And she has been to earth.... that was only about 2 maybe 3 jumps away from their last position in the show. Ending the season with the Watchtower was OUTFRAKKING STANDING! So stop trying to put themes into a show thats just a sci-fi show... its not about the war in Iraq, or that christians are bad, or that all AI (artificial intelligence) will try and kill mankind. Its about a few thousand humans tring to survive the mistakes of the past and get to a place that is a myth to them... or in a nutshell, following a dream.
