Full-Atmo Galactica: Best. Move. Ever.
Screw Kirk and his cheating the no-win scenario, the hell with the Picard Maneouver, and forget about blowing up the Death Star.
I had to rewind the Tivo twice for that entire sequence and watch it again... And Adama's mild-sounding "Stand by for turbulence," was about as plain as asking someone to pass the salt.
I'm nominating Olmos for his Emmy right now.

Check this thread for the best discussion I've seen on it.

I have copied the whole episode from my Tivo to my computer, thinking that I would put what is now being called "ABM" or "Adama's Badass Manuever" up on You Tube.
Silly me, as there must be 20 different versions up there, some with different music.
Speaking of the music, was that Irish music not just perfect for the ABM? Then, later as they pull away from Galactica's "death" scene, and the drums come in while you see the missiles fly in from Pegasus? Does it get any better?
I have watched the episode 5 times, the last time I watched it after watching the other Season 3 episodes in front of it, which made it even better.
It was just the best 60 minutes of TV that I have ever seen, and I cant imagine how they can top it, or even maintain the same level.

B5 set the standard in what Sci-Fi should be done.. The new Battlestar Galactica has raised the standards.. Also with respect to Lorne Greene (as the orginal Adama), Terry Carter (as the orginal Tigh), John Colicos (as the orginal Baltar) and others (with the exception of Richard Hatch being Tom Zarek), the cast is much better and less child like.
I still like the old BSG but mainly for nostiglia reasons..

Predictions for tonight:
Is it time yet for Adama and the Roslin to do the nasty? I think it is. Bring on the reunion!
Look for Callie to save Jammer from retribution since he let her get away from the firing squad. Same for Gaeta when Tyrol finds out he was the double agent.
I suspect that Kara and Tigh will drown their sorrows together is whatever alcohol is available.
Boomer wants to know if Adama lied about her baby, and if he will help rescue the kid from the cylons. (Probably, so more space porn)
Lets hope that Lee has discovered whatever passes for the Atkins diet in that Universe.
So say we all, baby!
