Oh no.....your sun went away?
Ah, nice to hear about the ducks. I enjoyed watching them.
How are your cats? They must be getting along in years.
They are pushing 18 but don't seem to know it. Lefty has lost a lot of weight, but none of her activities have lessened. She is still catching birds....how dumb can a bird be for her to catch it....and dined on one in the front hall. Yuck...messy clean up....lots of feathers and ????
Yes, they are getting along in years. sound like they are healthy.
My cat was 17, but sick.

![]() In truth, you are just a very unique person who doesn't care what others think. And you really enjoy your offbeat interests and friends. You've decided that life is about living for yourself - simple as that. |

Well, you are in good form tonight. ;)
Yep, guess the meds are working.
Either that, or my hat's too tight.
LOL! You've made me chuckle! ;)

Weekend Weirdness
Somewhere silent currents carry heartaches hereabouts,
while wanton wild thoughts take wing with wonder.
Im isolated from freedoms flow by darkened dreams daring,
yet you stay still softly sheltered in my melancholy mind.
Like lustered pearls aplenty, your young image shines so soft,
and always I imagine Im forever free of ordinary oppressions.
Dark deeds and angry accusations haunt, hurt, so succor, and abide,
wander wild places healing human hearts with winning lasting love.
Oh my, this is a beautiful poem, thanks.
you are welcome.
Now you write me one about your ever lovely garden
Nature changes clothes at seasons end
for now she rests to begin again
and so the old clothes to the bin
and our hopes for a new year are pinned
Later, the oak will be dressed in gown of green
where squirrels will nest in their old friend
and youll delight at the growing things to tend
and you will know that winter is a passing scene
Hello everyone. That is a very cute picture. Reminds me of the Grebes at Eagle Lake after their young have hatched and started swimming. They often hitch a ride that way.
I hope all of you had a wonderful Saturday. I've spend the day in training, and have tomorrow's training to look forward to before I can go home to be with my wife and granddaughter for one night (and then back to work for the next week). I can't wait for the next weekend to come. I'll need the break.
Now what sort of training? I'd think an old potential curmudgeon as yourself would know it all.? I can tell you (as a fully paid up memeber of the Hiberian Lodge of Curmudgonly Wisdom and Wit), that I do, and that it suprises me you'd need training???? Now if its some esoteric skill beyond the ken of mortal man, that might take a bit work. So, what could a fella like you have needed training in anyway?
The training is a certification program for dealing with violent students in a school setting. The program teaches what to do to avoid escalating the situation, while de-escalating the student. And then, if all else fails, we will be taught restraint measures to prevent the student from harming themselves or others, while safeguarding them at the same time. While much of the training was part of my Master's program, I've not used or been exposed to those methods for a very long time, and I've never actually received certification (which has to be done every two years).
And, to be honest, the more training and education I have, the more I've come to know the less I know. No such thing as too much education or training. At least for me.
How are you tonight? I hope your weekend is going well.

Now that is some class-A training! You really need to know a lot, and care even more to do a job like that really well. I salute you on the dedication you clearly have. Students, viloent or not, often don't have teachers or councilors with such dedication or understanding. You are special my friend!
