My husband and I think they were verifying that the ticket counter was actually sending them to London, England, and not some other city in another country. They were looking at the map, and they thought it was a bit crazy to have to fly to London, England first because it was so out of the way.

I agree with you, the ticket agent mis-understood them. They are not dumb, they are playing a great game, always stopping and asking for directions, and being very nice to each other.
