Siberia next?

I am not sure if they will venture into Siberia at this point, but IF you want to know the name of the city where the next pit stop is, then search for "Mayor Garry Moore". That will tell you the city.

Hint, it will be warmer than Mongolia.

I assume the guy finding the helmet for the cheerleaders was ok since Phil didn't penalize them

I have season 1 and season 7 on dvd {the only ones available so far}. If memory serves me, then during the credits, they state that some time penalties may have been added. If it is blatant, Phil usually says something on the mat. Sometimes, we hear about it when the next leg starts.

When the "Hillbilly team" (I can say that since I have relatives that live in Kentucky) helped the one team with extra water, I would say that was against the rules - remember in season 7 when Uchenna started to help Meredith and Gretchen and then we heard that he couldn't help them because it was against the rules. We will see.

Yes of course I want to know. I don't know why they don't tell us. Oh I realize this may be a leg joke coming.

the moms being so thankful they were sent an angel and two seconds later wouldn't stop for the druggies' flat tire. I declare no more angels for them.

Sorry for the late reply, my husband and I always watch TAR on Monday nights on TiVo. When they were like: "God always sends an angel," and then didn't stop, I was furious! My husband didn't understand. I knew that it would catch up to them, which it did when their car didn't start and they were 2nd to last place. You can't act one way (grateful for what God "gives" you,) and then act a complete opposite way 15 minutes later.

Also, did you notice that the coalminers gave those ladies one of their jugs when they completed the Detour? That was totally unneccessary, but they did it anyways.

My husband and I LOL'd when he talked about the 2 legs!! Whether it was intentional or not, I think they left it in there for the joke.

(((TAR Ping)))

Episode #3
Ulan Bator, Mongolia to ...

(Christchurch is also the birthplace of Phil Keoghan)

"Oh, Wow! It's Like One of Those Things You See on TV!"

Tempers rise when one team accuses another of not playing fair;
one team makes a crucial mistake when members board the wrong bus;
money becomes an issue when teams must earn cash to cover one leg of the race.

The race resumes tonight at 8pm EST, after football and 60 Minutes

As always, if you want on or off this ping list, just let me know.

money becomes an issue when teams must earn cash to cover one leg of the race.

I've heard Peter say three times now that perhaps they can use Sarah's artificial leg to their advantage. I am always uncomfortable with that statement. Wouldn't you think Sarah would get tired of that reasoning? I mean if she is out here being equal and all.

I think she's getting a bit tired of him for one reason or another from her comment last week that she's "got his number".

Is it running late today? Football or something? 60 Minutes is still running here.

I guess. Football. I took a shower and everything. Here I'm sitting around clean an hour early.

I love this show. It IS amazing to me. Just think of all the planning and preparation that is necessary.

I'm so interested in these 'reality shows'. I want to know more about the inside scoops. For instance last week I somehow read or heard how the Amazing Race producers will buy up plane tickets to make sure all the teams can't get on the same flight. I remember a 'leg' last season where that led to drama at the airport.

Didn't really get into this episode... Didn't care for where they went, what they did, nor how they got their. Hotel Hanoi being turned into some strange display... And racing out to a rice paddy for the pitstop?

Oh well. Next week will be better. Hope they head to NZ.

I haven't seen the episode yet, I've only heard a synopsis of it, but it sounds like John McCain got some campaign help from it by presenting him with a POW/war hero image.

I have this feeling that in the next year we are going to see subtle references to him as a POW/war hero pop up in all sorts of movies and tv shows. The liberals would like nothing more than to bolster his image among the conservatives that are not up on his political record. They know he would be a devisive Presidential candidate in his own party.

Never seen being a POW as being something that makes someone able to handle public office. I actually see it as being detrimental. Which was aptly proven by McCain himself in the issue on how much we're supposed to coddle terrorists.

McCain won't get the Republican nomination. He might be tapped for the VP slot; who knows which party that would be for. He was pumped pretty heavily in 2000, and it didn't go anywhere. The excuse was heart problems crashed his campaign, but it was in the tank well before it. In either case, what has changed eight years later? He's less appealing today, he's more likely to have heart problems in the future.

I'm seriously starting to wonder about our party, though. While there are a few stars here and there, a lot of them are so deep in the background that no one knows who they are. Yes, probably the MSM's fault, but also our fault. We're not promoting the good guys enough.

From a spoiler site {my link at post 29 I think}, they said they were heading to Christchurch, New Zealand which is also in this title. I was surprised that they finished in Vietnam.

I would guess they will go to New Zealand in the next episode.

Gosh, I love the hillbillies! He got a bit old with going on and on about the ONE time his dad told him about Viet Nam. Mary's quips are so funny, so I hope her ankle doesn't do them in.

The Cho Bros were commendable with their moment of silence for all who have and are serving our country, but that was in great contrast to the idiot gays with their "hush" like they thought McCain was dead or something.

What was with Peter running ahead on the rice paddy and leaving Sara to crawl through?

Speaking of the behind the scenes manipulation, did anyone else get the idea that something was odd about the flower selling? People don't normally crowd and grab at flower venders.
