Unbelievable.
Chris Wallace, the host of Fox News Sunday, today urged ABC to not show the upcoming TV docudrama Path to 9/11 because it contains inaccuracies and made up dialog.
Wallace, who made his comments on the Fox and Friends morning show, said he doesn't think any dialog that wasn't the exact thing said by Madeline Albright or Sandy Berger should be included.
Wallace went on to criticize a different past TV docudrama he said included inaccurate scenes about his father Mike Wallace, claiming they were hurtful to his family.
He also noted that the Reagan family was extremely upset when a TV docudrama about former President Ronald Reagan included scenes that didn't occur.
However, Wallace skipped clean over the fact that ABC plans to include a proviso saying that some scenes in "Path to 9/11" are dramatizations of what occurred, and does not contain the actual dialog.
Hence the name "docuDRAMA."
Bottom line: I knew there was something about Chris Wallace I can't stand, and why I haven't watched his same old same old boring Sunday morning show for the past year.
The Clinton's were more interested in killing Dick Scaife, in a metaphorical sense, than Bin Laden. To them, he was public enemy number one. If half the energy had been exerted toward Bin Laden as toward the "Vast Right Wing Conspiracy" the events of 9/11 would probably have never happened.
What was it that Mike Wallace was heard saying over a microphone at the dedication of the World War II Memorial? Something about Bush?
1. Mike Wallace Doubts Bushs Validity, Says Iraq Not Good War
CBS News veteran Mike Wallace, at a Smithsonian Institution National World War II Reunion event on Friday shown later by C-SPAN, denounced the war in Iraq. This is not, in my estimation, a good war, Wallace declared. I dont know how we got into a position where our present Commander-in-Chief and the people around him, the 60 Minutes correspondent lamented, had the guts to take our kids and send them on what seems to be -- it sure is not a noble enterprise. Citing President George W. Bushs lack of military experience, both Wallace and fellow panelist Allen Neuharth, founder of USA Today, unfavorably compared him to George Washington and Wallace contrasted Bush with President Franklin Roosevelt, but failed to acknowledge that FDR lacked any military experience.
Gee, I bet that was "hurtful" to the Bush family, huh?
GREAT post, Howlin.
That damn old SOB.
This is actually great news in the long run....the Dems unwillingness/inability to constructively participate in the greatest debate of the new century effectively ends their political leadership...probably permanently...probably even as a functional party. Watching the Dems atrophy under Clinton leadership through the '90's, I nevere figured he'd completely kill it off...but he/she finally have. The treasonous and cowardly among us are labeled and identified.
If President Bush can put up with the absolute crap that has been said about him for the last six years, and by golly he has, then ask me how much I care about the Wallace family having their feelings hurt or (as if) BILL CLINTON. Feh.
I don't know how I feel about this. Honestly. I don't see why they had to make things up. How would we feel if they made things up about the WOT that Bush did? I know I wouldn't like it. How do we know they didn't?? This isn't something that happened 20 years ago, this is recent history, with enough people knowing the truth, so there's no reason to make things up, in my opinion.
Good grief, of course it will contain "made up dialog". We don't live inside the "Truman Show" bubble with all events video taped for future viewing.
another hysterical inaccuracy:
Sandy Burger definitely did not SLAM the phone down!!!! He simply hung up in a rapid fire fashion and so the entire thesis that Clinton bears any responsibility is a big fat lie.
We are all for accuracy. Maybe you have missed the threads?
We are primarily seethed at the thuggery of the democrats. Did you not read their letter? It's posted on Harry Reid's web page and on a thread of its own and on others as well.
Rush is addressing it now.
The link to the video below tells us all we need to know about how dangerous the Clintoons were/are to our safety. They failed to protect us against al Qaeda and Ben Laden.

Were the Clintoons paid by the Opecker Thugs to protect Ben Laden?
Is Wallace being paid to say what he is saying?
Wow..just saw Billy Boy interviewed on FOX News ...HE LOOKS HORRIBLE. Looks so old.
There are NUMEROUS instances of the actors using incomplete sentences, beginning a sentence with a preposition, improper subject/verb agreement, hanging participles, missplaced adverbs and improper grammar that we all know Clinton, Berger and Albright would have never, ever used. Language IS important (just ask Slick) and this lack of attention to historical FACTS renders the entire documentary bogus.
With gross historical inaccuracies like that--the entire piece is corrupted beyond acceptable limits (as defined by the democrats) and should NOT be shown, PERIOD. We just can't have a documentary that is just plain FALSE like that shown to the general public. (s/off)
A chip off the old buffalo chip..
Chris Wallace is a pussy!
I watch Fox News Sunday for Brit and Juan and William Kristol...I flip through the channels until they are on, I find something new when that segment is over. But Chris isn't the reason I tune in. He's the reason I turn it off.
Dear Chris .... STFU!
Chris Wallace needs a new job out of NYC....he is exactly what I don't watch....frigg' prick...another 2nd gen failure!!!
Here's where to send a message to the ABC Network to tell them you want "The Path to 9/11" to air intact and not edited for political correctness: http://abc.go.com/site/contactus.html
I still can't believe all of the so-called "journalists" who still fail to be First Amendment extremists.
