I do not know of one poster here who thinks Karr is the guy.
They are merely trying to figure out what evidence the DA may have, if any.
That seems to what a lot of insiders are saying...that the Boulder DA has been had.
Would certainly be the cost saving option. You can bet that if they have or think they have a chance at conviction, they will go for it.
What's curious to me is the 7 hrs between the reported kidnapping and the body being found. What the heck was the BPD doing all that time, having not even searched the house and then directing the family and friends to do so. They spent all that time waiting for a phone call?

John Ramsey spent beaucoup money to hire people simply to come up with anything that would've swayed just one jury member to a "not guilty" vote - and apparently, it worked.

If you choose to believe Karr's tale (as I have gleaned it), he wanted to kidnap JB, wrote the ransom note inside the house, and couldn't wait until he was out of the house to molest her. That's moronic! Karr wants us to believe he was a blithering idiot. Well, there have been brilliant criminals and criminals who have escaped justice by pure luck. There are very few criminals that I know of that are BOTH as dumb as a post AND lucky enough to get away with it.
Finally -- as long as John Ramsey keeps acting like a man who is hiding something, I will continue to think of him that way. Now, he says he just might leave America in an indignant huff. Remember the last millionaire suspected of crimes against children who said such a thing? Here's a clue: He went to Bahrain.
Reportedly, that little basement room is difficult to find, unless a person is familiar with the interior of the house.
IOW's, it was overlooked during the first search of the house.
they were searching the house (along with the Ramsey's). repeated searches. and setting up phone tap equipment waiting for the kidnapper to call. on hour #7, John went down into the previously unsearched storage room, found the body, disturbed it, and carried it upstairs. as I recall, there was also an allegation that even after finding the body - the police did not lock down the house - the Ramsey's should have immediately been isolated to a single room.
I do! I think it's still possible he is the perp. It's still an unproven allegation, but it is not yet totally disproven either.

regarding the Ramsey's allegedly being involved (either/or/both) - the one question I always had - what was the motive? why did it happen? what happened on christmas night to trigger the event?

He's delusional and a lot of what has been made public, that he's said about it all, is just fantasies...to be kind.
It didn't appear ever to be an actual "dealership," with a lot or retail license or anything like that. I have some more info somewhere, but his dad said something about it - I'll have to look.
I believe the dad bankrolled it to some extent, because he said the other day, or his friend said, he was the one who paid for the DeLorean. It seems he just traded locally, because the clerk at the courthouse said he was in there a lot, transferring titles.
We know he was doing it in HS, and then when his twins were born, which was 1989, because that's the time period the court clerk referred to when she saw him a lot. She mentioned his other children, so it may have continued through at least 1993, when the youngest was born.
After that point, I don't think I have any answers. It wasn't a formally licensed car dealership, from what we can tell, but I believe a poster had some feelers out on that. The records for the county and city aren't online, so it's hard to tell.
So far, we've heard about a DeLorean he painted red; a Porsche he had when he first met Quientana in 1984 or so (I know that date doesn't quite gibe with other dates we have for that - but her parents said this morning that he was 19 and she was 12 - so it was 21-22 years ago); a Jaguar, not certain of color; and one other plain car which description I've forgotten.
