"Possible, but again, figure the odds. A freak head injury the same night an intruder breaks in...odd"

Not if the intruder caused the injury. He strangles her, and once she is dead he throws her against *something* slamming her head into it and causing the injury.

That is a likely scenario.

Yes, they had red-eyes then. I took a few flights between ATL and DEN and I had forgotten about the time difference and how it makes the flight out west seem so short; but then again, the flight back seems really long.

Anyway, no idea on the costs but I bet if he booked a month or two in advance he could get it really cheap.

I'll think about it for a bit and see if I can up with any ideas. I used to run a background-check business. Oh, how much I wish I had access to that db now! I could have gotten telephone billing recs, aliases, ssn, neighbors, licenses. You name it. If anyone wants to spend the 30 bucks you can do one online and get the same stuff. A basic skip trace on him could easily tell if he was there, but only if he was there for a while. That's the bad part.

Honestly, I think the money thing is not too vital to establishing his means to travel. It didn't cost too much and there are so many ways to get cash (like the examples you mentioned).

Yea, that thought hit me, too. If that's the case they won't necessarily jump to prove he was there just yet either. They want to protect their asset.

no, not that it was contaminated with Karr's DNA. but since its a partial DNA, the "mixing" could render that sample useless.

Maayyybeee, I don't know. You honestly could be right about that.

IF the intruder caused it, I'd be looking for something, maybe in the breakfast room where he served the pineapple and slung her in a struggle against some heavy furniture or in the kitchen against an appliance or countertop. They had a walk-in fridge with a big metal door. That could do it. Whatever it was, the intruder would have been slinging her across a room rather than just grabbing her head and slamming against something, if I'm reading the forensic stuff right.

my understanding is that they think what hit her head was round or rounded - like a bat, bathtub edge, toliet rim. I don't think they could tell it she was hit with something or if she was slammed into something. But it did not have a sharp 90 degree edge on it.

I think the *contaminated* DNA is propaganda from JMK lawyers. It's an attempt to weaken the evidence. I wonder if that means they got a match?

What's more, detectives are now seriously investigating a lead that was ignored years earlier: a report of an unknown blue van spotted outside the Ramsey house the night before and the day after JonBenet was murdered.

After a murder investigation that went nowhere, the answer to the question, "Who killed JonBenet," is likely in the Denver police department crime lab.

"I believe the technology of today makes it extraordinarily difficult for a killer not to leave his calling card," says police forensic specialist Greg LaBerge, referring to the suspect's complete DNA profile.

He believes he has the DNA for the man he suspects is the killer of JonBenet Ramsey: "It would be very, very helpful to the investigation to have that DNA matched to an individual."

The crime lab has two spots of JonBenet's blood found on the underwear she was wearing the night of the murder. Mixed in with that blood is the DNA of an unknown person. It has taken years to isolate, but forensic scientists in Colorado now have a complete DNA profile of the killer. They know the killer is a male. What they don't know is his name.

Augustin and Gray are convinced that the DNA sample belongs to JonBenet's killer, because of a small amount of matching DNA that also was found under the 6-year-old murder victim's fingernails.

henry lee claims it is NOT a complete DNA sample. its a partial. I don't know the specifics, but he claims in every interview that all 13 "markers" are not there.

The links you provide are internet pap. They quote unnamed "specialists" and former Detective Thomas who is a biased source.

None cite anyone with the Boulder Police. They cite pathology pundits who make money sensationlizing things for the media.

The ME (John Meyer) that actually examined JonBenet's body has never leaked or spoken publicly about the case that I can find.

and you believe this? How does Henry Lee know this? - Did the lab in CO send him the report?

I wonder if Lee is speaking from old information from old tests.

I don't believe that Henry lee was part of or working on the case in 2004 when they retested it and got a full DNA profile due to new technology.

Henry Lee may have seen the DNA results from 1997 and 1999, but not the one from late 2004.

Elephant in the room:

Whoever heard of JonBenet before her murder? Aside from her parents' circle of friends, church, school, normal day to day association like the grocery store, beauty parlor etc., and the child beauty pagent people?

Think about it. How would this Karr have known about her?
Has he been linked to any the beauty pagents?
Were any of the beauty pagents held in Atlanta where he could have possibly seen her or seen her pic in the newspaper?

The intruder, if there is one, had to have known her father's first name "John don't try to grow a brain,"
and if his intent was to kidnap her, why murder her?

And why leave a note after the murder or did the intruder first write the note and then accidentally kill her?

You'd think a murderer or a kidnapper would want to get in and out as quickly as possible.

On BOR... Boulder DA says they never got the Wendy/Karr tapes from California. They are extremely interested in them and they now have them and they have been sent out for voice comparison.
