If he is demoted, it will surely affect the case. There's a lot of hand wringing in Durham tonight. A lot of Maalox too.

I do not believe that someone who interacts with blacks as regularly as the Durham cops would drop n-bombs at the drop of a hat...
I also do not think the Lacrosse teammates of a black player whom was possibly at the party would be dropping n-bombs at the strippers...
Bissey claims he heard someone yell out "Thank your Grandpa for my nice cotton shirt".... That's a far cry from dropping the n-bomb...
I'm not saying it doesn't happen but in these two cases it's just too convenient...
Just like the rape claim, the n-bombs have become the "Get out Jail Free" card in the new PC world....
Ironic isn't it, my bet is we'd hear more n-bombs at a rap concert than a clan rally...
Which begs the question-- Did the Raleigh PD obtain a breathayzer or BAL on the White Durham PD officers (who are alleged to have assaulted a Black cook, and to have used an ugly Racial Slur)?

If 19 yr old Finnerty is a bad enough person to be banned from Georgetown for his slurs and intimidation - WITHOUT touching anyone - than these people sworn to protect the citizenry should be held to the same standard.

YES. Fortunately the media, the D.A., the Durham City Council, and the Judges have all denounced this exact type of behavior and treated it seriously.
They are on record.
It's going to be hard to portray this as some guys letting off steam and just drinking too much.
After all, the boys were the scum of the earth for drinking late and sometimes being rowdy. They were dangerous Hooligans. It warranted a two day trial in Crime-Ridden D.C. when the victim was untouched by the defendant. Then Finnerty was banned.
When you say - maybe the Judge will BAN these policemen from Raleigh then what they did in D.C. really jumps out as being ridiculous.

Of course DPD wants a $60,000 scholarly study on gangs. I imagine DOJ has some grants available.

- One of the alleged assailants allegedly threw a punch, missed, and fell down.
- And in an eerie parallel to the Duke case, one of the Durham PD officers was alleged to be Black! He was the one who allegedly apologized for the drunken behavior of his colleagues.
She looks like a guy who has had a sex change, I swear to God.
So, she isn't screaming everytime she sees a white dude anymore, I take it. She's also not in a mental hospital getting therapy and a good, long rest after her horrific ordeal.
