I don't understand, some people say that Islam is responsible for terrorism today, rather than those who manipulate and perversely interpret Islam to further their murderous aims.
Islam is so similiar to Christianity that there isn't even a point to it, every quote showing "Judeao-Christian hatred" can be logically explained by anyone who has read the Quran.
We have groups like Muslims for Bush (now Muslims for America) a primarily Republican group of American muslims supporting the War on Terror.
"Is this what you mean?"
The entire Sura 9 with its 146 forward-looking war verses is what I mean.
The NT says that Christ said that "No one can come to the Father except through me."
That's a pretty supercessionist doctrine. It's true that lots of Christians today try to make a not particularly Biblical exception for the Jews, but it's very hard to argue with Christ's statement that only Christians can be saved.
OTOH, the Koran states, "Surely those who have faith and the Jews and the Christians and the Sabaeans - whoever has faith in God and the Last Day and does good deeds - indeed their reward is with their Lord and they will neither fear nor grieve."
You raise a valid point. However, Islam offers contradicting statements on that subject. It professes equality in some areas, and then proclaims the inferiority of other faiths in others.
Thus, the statement must be taken in the context of the religious background of he or she who presents it.
Furthermore, I am secure in my faith. Therefore, I do not feel any particular pressure when proselytizers come to me and say, you are missing the true way. I just smile, nod my head and say "That's nice". If they say, you don't accept our way, you're going to hell, I stilll just smile and at that point shut the door. They can believe what they want, so long as they don't try to cut off my head.
As I said in my earlier posts, I have known many good, decent moderate Muslims, a number of whom are quite pious. I don't fear their faith, even if seeks to be supercessionist. I do fear the faith of the militant Muslims, however, since I see they are willing to back up their beliefs with some headchopping, raping, bombing and general brutality.
That being said, stating something is supercessionist can just be a statement of fact, it does not encessarily have to be an implicit criticism.
Prove these vile accusations.
...I'm not a Muslim. I'm an Irish-Ukrainian God fearing Republican, and I'm not about to condemn a faith because of these out of context quotations.

Not needed. I have my own copy.
Islam is a combination of Hindu religious practice (original name of Allah was Hindu "Allat") with softened Jewish religious practice: but all pressed into service to justify the Arab conquest that had already begun before Muhummed.
In like manner Early Christianity is a combination of Jewish holiness and apocalyptic literature and Greek philosophy. Alas, it was corrupted when it became the Established Religion of the Roman Empire.
Judism is a combination of primitive holiness law, and fertility cult practices, turned inward upon itself when conquered, so they no longer got official sanction.
I can help you with other religions if you like. Best to do this by private message to avoid stoning.
Agree.
As I understand it, the Koran contains a great many contradictions, which are generally dealt with by having later verses override earlier ones.
Precisely. Usually, but not necessarily always, the later additions have override over earlier sections. Which is kind of disturbing, because the tolerance messages are usually earlier.
No...I do not believe Islam is without it's flaws and when did I mention the Jews in any of my posts?
having rade the Koran (and the hadiths) and the Bible, I can assure you that the two religions are nothing alike. Fromyour post I can conclude the following:
1. You have never read the bible in its entirety.
2. You are not entirely familiar with your own religions works and history.
3. You have been duped by your religous leader[s].
4. or,yYou are liar attempting to spread disinfomation.
Actually they are explained quite clearly in the hadiths, are they not? Unless there is some kind secret decoder ring we don't know about that only "islamic experts" have access to so thay can divine the true meaning of what clearly written.
Do Muslims have any aidea how foolish this makes them, and you, look?
What needs to be explained? Either the words mean what they say or they don't. Which is it? Frankly it's just more islamic duplicity.
Besides, there's a website called "ask the imam". That website backs up what is clearly written for all to see.
So perhaps you are the one that needs the true nature of the Koran explained to you, since you obviously are not capable of digesting what you can read for yourself. Or perhaps you suffer from illiteracy, and you need someone to type the words into the computer for you? I suppose if you cannot actually read, you would need and "expert" to explain it for you.
What a pathetic joke and excuse to use when confronted with the truth of your own texts.
