Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America
Report to Leaders
June 2005
On March 23, 2005, you announced the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America. At that time, you instructed Ministers to create an architecture which would further enhance the security of North America while at the same time promote the economic well-being of our citizens and position North America to face and meet future challenges. This effort builds on the excellent, long-standing relations among our three countries. The response to your request is attached.

Confronted with the truth of the matter you're going to argue legislative definitions. While you are having difficulty with semantics, the "truth of the matter" is that the original comment referred to taxes being raised to fund Mexican infrastructure improvements, and the text of the bill you posted does nothing of the sort. So it appears that you can't handle the truth.

Which bill? Has Cornyn introduced a bill? I haven't read anything about this yet.

LOL! One way or another the money they shift will have to be replaced so they'll either increase taxes or create new one's to fill the void.
Regardless the end result will be the same, they will be using our taxes to contribute to this fund and that you cannot deny.

Backing off of our racism accusation, I see. Good for you.
Yeah, I guess the unions had absolutely nothing to do with driving wage costs so high that manufacturers look around for a guy who can turn a screw for less.
The stock anti-union tirade. But I bet you like weekends and the fact that 6 year olds don't work 40 hour weeks so dad can pay interest to the company store. But that's a whole seperate argument for you to lose.
You are arguing that since companies made agreements to unions and you personally think those agreements are unfair, they should be able to pay slave wages to third world workers? That's a bit of a stretch even for the logically challenged.
And the cheap goods at Wal-Mart benefit everybody, including American workers.
That's good news, because that's only store a lot of us are going to be able to afford to buy things at. You ivory tower globalists keep forgetting that you need a population that can actually afford to buy the junk that you move to Mexico to make. And once our credit cards are maxed, you're going to see things slowing down a tad.
Your final sentence is so silly as to not even deserve a reply.
My goodness, after a biting rebuke like that, I don't know how I'll ever be able to look at myself in the mirror again.

I think any bikers who ride cruisers, or sport bikes that won't hit at least 180, should have to pay the new tax, and also allow illegal immigrants to have the right to commandeer their bikes to haul produce to the market when needed.

So, you're a union supporter. I should have known.
You object to any jobs moving to Mexico, but seem to think manufacturers should continue to cater to an archaic labor structure which has brought the manufacturing sector to its knees. Do you know how business works?
I've enjoyed the dialogue, but neither one of us is going to change any minds, and I fear we're going to just keep going around the same tree.
Have a good weekend.

Any bikers who ride Z-11's,12's or Busa's will get a free pass. The slow pokes should be punished.
To: AmericaUnited
By all means, let's reward the "Star Boys" of the world and punish the rest.
I will readily admit to not being familiar with any of those bikes you mentioned and not being the least bit concerned by it.

So, you're a union supporter. I should have known.
I support unions defending peoples' jobs when they fight real injustice. The crookedness and constant support for socialist nanny authoritarian candidates I do not support. So I guess you could say I'm about 60/40 on them.

I think so. Let me see if I have it right.
1. Make agreements with your workers to trade pay raises for some distant benefit.
2. Donate lots of money to buy influence with pandering politicians and demand that they allow you to move all of your manufacturing to a third world nation at a fraction of the cost and pay no tariff to re-import the finished product.
3. Fire your American workers.
Wage deflation right now is propped up by Americans using credit where they used to save. And just like with our government, the borrowing cycle can't last forever. Eventually the bill comes and you have to pay. And with a nation of gas station clerks making $8 instead of factory workers making $20, the engine is going to seize up.
I've enjoyed the dialogue, but neither one of us is going to change any minds, and I fear we're going to just keep going around the same tree.
Have a good weekend.
Agreed. I hope that yours is a good one as well.

It's a trading partnership. That's all. No relinquishing of sovereignty, no loss of freedom, no compromise of the constitution.

So what do you think of Cornyn's plan to create a tax that would help mexico pay to upgrade it's infrastructure? I haven't read about it yet, but I have a feeling it's not quite that simple
Here's a post on it.
