Agreed, yours looks a lot better than mine!
I think yours was the Ed Hume Early Girl variety I usually did well with before when I had a garden... it doesn't grow a lot of stalk, but it's really a good choice for this climate.
Mine?
It's still a very small ear - half the size of normal. But still...not too bad.
Yeah, I know it was an Ed Hume variety. Maybe next year we can split a packet of seeds - there were tons of them!
Think I'll pull up the squirrels' tomato plants tomorrow...they're only providing hiding places for the bunnies. The peppers are coming in. So at least I've had peppers, eggplants, and "greens."
But it's been two weeks since I've seen Talon... I think a little sneaky spamming is understandable.
I wonder what the maze people grow... their corn was 10 feet tall and they didn't plant it till June 1. Course, They probably choose corn for the big stalks now... the cobs taste like rubber, but they don't care, they're just for show :~)
Heh...this is quite likely. I wonder if they also water them pretty continually until they open the maze...could help.
I couldn't resist...went ahead and cooked up that one little cob. It tasted like pretty decent corn, which is all I can ask of it! Not as sweet as some, but that's OK by me.
I won't get a *lot* of ears out of this garden, but it's kinda cool that some things made it.
I also have a few hugh squash I'd forgotten I planted. I'm wondering if I'd better pick 'em before they get even bigger.
What are you talking about? I am standing right here.
Just got done with the bed project. Having done that pretty much all the other chores are optional ;-D
Taking a drink break before I start the stuff I am going to do to the gun cabinet.
Wonderful! I just foisted about 5 lbs of tomaters on the inlaws - hah!
I think Miss Cat would like a pet door installed in the garage door. I let her out for a walkabout. She returned and sat waiting at the garage door to be let back in.

I don't think she's going to get one.
Heh! Hopefully we'll have our generator installed by then.
Our cats are going to get the house to themselves for a couple of days. We're vacating for a retreat to the mountains of PA for a few days' R&R.
I hate those "F" named storms.
Heh.
My cat is staying at her home-away-from-home this weekend.
I expect to get cussed out in cat next Monday morning.
Yeah, an F storm (Floyd) came up the Chesapeake a couple years ago and socked us.
