The Hobbit Hole XXX - Then world behind and home ahead...

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Then world behind and home ahead

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Out of curiosity...

Do you remember a German chocolate cake that grocery stores used to sell in the frozen food section? It had a plastic cover on it and I think it had a blue ribbon sticker on the top...I think it was actually called "Blue Ribbon".

Man, I loved those things and you can't find them any more! My grandmother always had one in her fridge and even after she died and I went off to college, I would buy them and keep them for a snack!

Well, I finally broke down and took a 60mg Sudefed. I can hear a popping sound in my head from the congestion and my forehead, ears and above my teeth are just killing me. Funny, though...no runny nose!

It'll likely help, but Steve'll probably have to peel me off the ceiling...it makes me just really really stressed. Makes my heart pound and my hands shake.

Ha ha!!

Seriesly, that guy's expression is just exactly how I feel.

I think I screwed something up inside my sinuses when we went swimming weekend before last...I dove and dove...I did a bunch of diving in other words...into very deep water and then when I would come up I could really feel the pressue on my sinuses. I've had this headache pretty much ever since...just mild. Then I woke up this morning with the vertigo and the splitting headache...

took a 60mg Sudefed

60 mg? Why so powerful? I use the 10 mg. stuff. I think the 60 mg. would send me up the walls, too!!!

It's all I've got. Steve got it for free from work. He got several hugh unopened bottles of it...still factory sealed.

That's all I'm gonna say about that.

I coulda broke it in half, but I really don't think 30mg would have helped. I've taken it before...it won't kill me. And 30mg makes me just as jumpy as 60.

They got me these too...a couple of days ago they came in the mail. They're brand new. Again, I don't know why. But they'd make great nursing shoes, if I ever get called up for the OKMRC.
