The Hobbit Hole XXX - Then world behind and home ahead...
http://freeper.the-hobbit-hole.net/ ^

Posted on 06/28/2006 10:14:11 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Then world behind and home ahead

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

We're back! Nice two hour swim.

Joshua opted to take swimming classes this winter instead of gymnastics. I hate to say, but I'm relieved. Gym was going to be $25 every 4 weeks...this is $25 a semester.

So both boys will have swim class every Thursday from 12:45pm to 1:45pm.

This is not swimming lessons...this is a class where you perfect your stroke. They teach the back stroke, the breast stroke, the butterfly and the freestyle. They assume you already know how to swim.

Well, I got a call from the PM company and she said she left a message for the owners. If they don't call back by 4:30pm, she may go ahead and override them and let us have the dog.

But she said that even if they do call back, the fact that the prior tenant had a dog is encouraging. That dog left no damage.

So, hope is rekindled. :-D

FWIW, putting Cisco on hold was a leap of faith on my part, too. They wouldn't hold him for very long, and I didn't have the fence built or anything. I just knew he was the one and hoped something would work out.

Yeah, if she's meant to be ours, it'll all fall into place.

If it doesn't, we just have to accept that it wasn't the dog or the right time.

So must all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we can decide is what we chose to do with the dog given to us.

Cheap stingy hobbitses fans!

She has quite the fan site set up though, complete screencaps for all three movies, with scripts :~)
