Still round the corner there may wait |

Home is behind, the world ahead, |

Heh heh! Hey, that's art. Pretty cool flag.
Oh, I know just how you feel!!
Maybe it'll work out...
It's a lesson, although not one of my favorites, that life doesn't always work out the way we plan and that even when we have good intentions, sometimes we make mistakes.
When I was growing up, mistakes weren't allowed and were never forgiven.
Now, when I make a mistake, I just say I'm sorry, but that sometimes mistakes are made and that most of the time I try hard and that hopefully I can be forgiven. Thankfully now I always am, which makes everyone feel better, even through disappointment.
:-)
Yeah, that's more or less what Ramius said too.
Just seems to me that disappointments are something you encounter anyway, not really something you should set yourself up for.
Which is what I've done in this case. :-/
I'm hanging on to a thin thread of hope that the owners are the type of folks that don't really care as long as we put down a deposit. The former tenant had a dog, after all.
They may just want to approve the kind of pet so that tenants don't bring home 4 pit bulls. So maybe they'll say it's OK to have a dog as long as it weighs less than 50 lbs.
This is just an investment property for them, not their "home" - so there's that.
Yeah...at this point it could still happen!
Post pics of the new pup if it does!
I will. She's lovely and has such a terrific temperament.
My guess is that they mostly just want to know. I kinda doubt they'll have a problem with it. Probably just a formality.
So...tell us about this dog! What does she look like? What kind is she?
Yep! I haven't seen any major artichoke sales since I've been here, but maybe it's just not the right time yet.
I'll have to pick up a steamer one of these days, too - that worked really well!
She's an Aussie-mix, 9 months old, but surprisingly low-key. That may be because of whatever she's mixed with.
She didn't jump on the girls and played very nicely with them, even Alyson. And Alyson was running around, screaming and jumping with glee, and it didn't over-excite the dog or freak her out in any way.
She's got a petite build too. Not too big to be inside or intimidate the kids. And such a lover. She'd bring the ball back and just lean up against our legs.
Oh she's beautiful!!
My neighbor has an Aussie. The quiet guy that bought the house next door?
She really is.
We actually went to look at this lab we saw online, but this girl stole our hearts.
He was a bit more dog than we're prepared to handle anyway. Very strong and built tough. He's sweet, but he intimidates Aly with his size.
I hope for the best! When do you expect to hear from the landlord? I bet they'll say OK.
We've shuffled our trip up to the beach house till tomorrow, we'll work on D's yard in the morning and then stay over, if you're going to be there.
What a sweet face on that doggie!! I sure hope y'all can get her!
I guess I got ahead of myself a little with my above post...
If we stay overnight at the beach tomorrow, would you mind throwing food at the horses? We'd measure it out for you, would just be tossing it over the fence. - Sat night and Sunday morning.
Not a problem. Hay and grain, right? Or just hay?
She does look sweet...and it's good that she doesn't scare Alyson. I think she found Cisco intimidating...which cracks me up considering even Tweek can push him around.
Hay and grain, I'll mix Bay's meds in and label them for you if we end up doing this!
I spose if they end up getting the dog, they may decide they have enough excitement and they might cancel coming down, in which case we'll just come home.
It mighta been because he is so wiggly, which is kind of surprising, since Alyson can be pretty wiggly herself.
BTW, it looks like our new espresso machine and my new monitor (19" LCD just like Hair's) should both be here today! Woohoo!
Woo-hoo! Espresso good! So are LCD monitors, for that matter...
Oh, me too!!
