My priorities are on the bits that get Talon and me on our honeymoon as quickly and smoothly as possible. Everything else is icing on the cake. :-D
You know, I have another pair now, but I've never really been able to replace those.
Seems like that's a little informal for Jen's wedding. They need something more fallish.
You aren't staying around to party with ~us~????
(btw, do you have a time yet?)
Well thats my soap box moment LOL.
hows everyone doing? We are in a kind of HS lull until we get her Stanford Achievement scores back. Ive been playing away in fanficdom, so my mind hasnt really been on politics so much, although I am trying to get back to updating Tributaries on a more regular basis. I just dont hve the fire to rant so much any more.
Since the dwarf is discussing fashion.... Jen - have you decided on colors yet? And what is the temperature like in that area in the Fall? Any outdoor events? Or is it all inside?
I'm with ya. Work consumes too much of my stress these days for me to have any to spare on politikin'.
Clare has enjoyed using it. It involves a lot of research, and though there is some writing involved in the Literature section, much of it is doing research to fill out questionaires about Civilizations, Art, Music and Architecture. The lesson plans are all laid out; that's why I liked it. I didn't have to re-invent the wheel.
They eloped to Hawaii? Dang, why didn't we think of that?
not much of a confession from a man who don't even own underwear...
Only matching jackets and pants I own are BDUs...
The eating part is outdoors. The swearing and whatnot is indoors. I assume there will be colors some place...
She says that now... just wait till she's on the phone with the bakery if they put the wrong icing on the cake :~D
Her sister is baking the cake :-D
~hic~
Hi hun! How are you doin'? Havin a fun party?
Cake horror story, but it's okay since it was anniversary cake.
Wife and I had such a bad experience with Nana and Papa's 40th that we decided to plan ~and pay for~ their 50th reception and keep the siblings involvement to a minimum. It was simple. Just cake and punch.
We put her oldest sister in charge of the cakes because she had a friend who baked. We said okay, but no fancy decorations, just plain white icing. No writing.
There should have been enough cake to serve 100 people. But we got two small (compare to grocery story size) cakes that wouldn't cover half of that.
Then, the friend had called and asked for Nana and Papa's favorite scriptures. A nice sentiment, but not what we ordered.
Not only did the icing turn out garish blue on one and pink on the other. There were spelling mistakes.
Wife ended up buying more cake at Kroger.
It's not so bad when you cut it up.
"Blessed are the Greeks!"
We cut the cake early on.
When Sister Mary Hamburner got her pictures back, we pulled those two out and tore them up.
It was a peacekeeping measure.
