Nifong press release and email...
(Excerpt) Read more at wral.com ...
The State Attorney General was Mike Easley, current NC governor who APPOINTED Mike Nifong to his present job.
LOL, it looks like we gotta find a freeper with an SI subscription...
I remember this case, the incident happened shortly after I moved to North Carolina. Even then, the local community and news media tried to turn it into a racial case. I specifically remember the black community trying to spin how "good this kid" was, just as they tried to tell us how "good" this accuser in the Duke case is.
If the youngster in the 1993 case was such a "good kid", why was he out breaking into houses instead of being in school?
Thank you, abb. That article covered the real story about the Duke Players very well. How a bleedin' freakin' lie, many lies, have started a huge fire which consumes innocent lives.
Mike Easley Personality Profile
Mike Easley also is very much a family man..[snip].....His wife, Mary, is a native of New Jersey and a working mom who has a tough commute to her job teaching law at N.C. Central a commute that would be longer and harder if she had to start from downtown rather than the Easleys current home near the Raleigh beltline.
N.C. Central? Law? Well, now isn't that just special!? Is Crystal Gail Mangum in one of her classes?
Precious was majoring in what? Criminal Psychology? I am sure that field requires a course or 2 in the legal process.
USA Today editorial calling for the Duke case to jump to the head of the trial line:

I'm unclear on what the writer feels about the players' behavior calls their credibility into question though.
The 3 cities in the Research Triangle...Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill...are not so distant from each other. Mrs. Nifong's "long commute" is interstate highway all the way. Isn't it interesting that the Nifongs choose to live outside of crime-ridden Durham where they both work?
Much about the case remains hidden, by the prosecutor and defense attorneys alike...
Gee, the writer sort of forgot about MSNBC's Dan Abrams reading the ENTIRE discovery file...
Acknowledging regrets is sufficient. We all wish we had that button. :-) Be Happy!!
Damn. The whole damn column is one big pile of psychobabble. I swear, all newspapers do anymore is make up shit. I guess the only thing you have to be able to do anymore is construct a sentence...
Another editorial saying Nifong should step aside and allow the AG to appoint a special prosecutor:

Greta still has not acknowledged that Abrams of MSNBC...has seen ALL of the discovery that Nifong turned over to the defense. Like Greta, Abrams is an attorney himself and says there is NO evidence contained in the 1278 pages that show Nifong has a case at all against the indicted players.
LOL, The Foxers know that Ailes would be PO'd if they mention the competiton...

Even more lives affected by the lies told by that "exotic dancer".
