If you want on or off the Mac Ping List, Freepmail me.

I love my mini Ipod except---the battery is starting to go. I think that's the biggest complaint about Ipods. Not so much that the battery needs replacement, that's expected but that it's so expensive to do it.

Interesting article.
I think most people who are knowledgeable and don't choose Macs do so for compatibility reasons or for price reasons. The really bad thing is not so much the price of the computer, but that they'd have to repurchase copies of software, like Photoshop, that they own and paid a great deal for. It used to be that Adobe crossgraded the software for the cost of an upgrade (my first Photoshop was Windows photoshop), but I don't think that's true anymore.
They'll still admit the user experience is superior.

Apple products are hated by internet whiners because they don't have disposable funds. Sounds about right. Most internet whiners are either too young to get even a part-time job, or too lazy to get one.
It's amazing what envy and free time will do to people.
Thanks. Added to my favorites. Those prices look very reasonable even with installation included.
Or some people actually like to build their own computers because they like to have total control and choice over their
hardware...
Well, isn't that special..........more power to you and everyone else who likes the same.
Why, then, do you always pop up early in these threads and start denigrating Apple, Apple products, and people who like Apple products?
Yes, but that doesn't account for 99% of the Apple hatred out there, especially since Apple identifies more with iPods than Macs these days.
Because the choices are poor and you are forced to use shoddy last generation hardware.
Or because they still live in their mother's garage and haven't kissed a girl yet, so they don't have anything else to do with their time.
people hate iPods and iTunes because the music is not compatible with other players even if their player is AC3 complaiant. Apples DRM makes it incompatible.
I this an admission that Apple users for the most part are ignorant?
?!?
Twisted verbiage aside, it's all about good design and the public's willingess to pay a premium for it. Apple has it, most of its competitors don't...just as Lexus and BMW have it and Detroit doesn't.
It reminds me of the joke the once-living comedian used to make about having to convince himself that what he just thought of wasn't funny because he was too lazy to get out of bed and walk across the room to get a pen and write it down.
I'm far from rich. I budget, drive an eight-year-old car, and generally live modestly.
But I have two luxuries that I consider "worth it."
High-quality sheets (if you go over 400 count, you'll never go lower, I promise) and my iMac G5.
