Completely agree--though I'm either on late at night (when I have time), or I'm posting in spurts when I can get a nice block of time on the computer without people wanting stuff out of me...8^)

On another subject -- more near and dear to you, I understand...
My trusty Wintel box now has compeny; some friends of ours gave my kids a PowerMac 7200/75. I've got a cable modem right into my PC, but will likely want to get the Mac on-line, too, but networks aren't my forte.
So, what's my set-up: Cable modem into router, then split to each computer from the router?
