WASHINGTON, May 31 After vowing to steer a greater share of antiterrorism money to the highest-risk communities, Department of Homeland Security officials on Wednesday announced 2006 grants that slashed money for New York and Washington 40 percent, while other cities including Omaha and Louisville, Ky., got a surge of new dollars.
Homeland security officials said the grants were a result of a more sophisticated evaluation process

Or not.

So glad to be at home.
Corporate network was a mess again today. Lots of timeouts, dropped connections. How's a person supposed to FReep?

If you have cable, check to see if you have access to the Science Fiction channel.
"Dead Like Me" has been around for a few years, and they are running a marathon for the new entry.
In the first episode, the girl dies, and then becomes a "Grim Reaper."
That's the story.
We're going to have a storm here, so I'll sign off for a while. And watch TV.

Things do seem slow today, but they're slow everywhere. My daily tour of the Anglican blogs yielded only two posts to the Religion forum. And even the one I thought would would rack up comments moved pretty slow.

Bye Bob.
Happy Thunder Storms.
Hi everyone else!
To: NicknamedBob
It looks as though the Science Fiction channel is now beginning the "Dead Like Me" series. It used to be available only on Showtime. I saw it (uncut) on the Sony channel in Mexico. I thought it was pretty dang funny. But Jasmine Guy did NOT age well. She looked like someone rode her hard and put her up wet.

I would be surprised if you needed cable, Sion.
You seem like a doer, no a watcher.
Do you like watching TV?
What is a 'fan dance'?
To: fanfan

We had a
nasty beautiful storm here last night.
I had to call my son and his friends in when the wind became too intense. The lighting was beautiful though.
God's fireworks. :-)
