WASHINGTON, May 31 After vowing to steer a greater share of antiterrorism money to the highest-risk communities, Department of Homeland Security officials on Wednesday announced 2006 grants that slashed money for New York and Washington 40 percent, while other cities including Omaha and Louisville, Ky., got a surge of new dollars.
Homeland security officials said the grants were a result of a more sophisticated evaluation process

Ok... I think I may have had a stroke last night. First, I get my math wrong calculating Tax-chicks run times. Now, I have no clue what you just said...
I'm doomed.

What's all this about checking the obituaries for your name? Don't you know when your Birth Certificate expires?
Or is mine the only one with a date??

Another direction I could have gone was that you had heard too many knee-slappers.
I was just trying to picture how you might have endured "knee abuse," without making the rash assumption that you were talking about knee abuse through exercise.

"What's all this about checking the obituaries for your name?" Actually, I don't look for my name. It's already engraved on the Viet Nam Veterans Memorial Wall.
I'm just looking to see how my age compares with those listed.
Speaking of expiring, I had a lifetime subscription to a magazine. They're still publishing, but they stopped sending the magazine. What do they know that I don't?

"... this is still something new for me. It's a novelty that I'm sure will weare off quickly." First, take some aspirin. Daily aspirin therapy, unless you cannot take them, is advisaable.
Next, acquire some cayenne pepper, preferably in the form of capsules. Take them daily, along with your Vitamins C and E.
The rest of your medical treatment is up to you and your physician.

Holy sh*t!!
Well.. ok - let's see if Gerry Adams is sane enough to own a firearm (and he also wears glasses...)!!
Seriously, thanks for the heads up, DC - our media hasn't reported this!

Th "novelty" of The S-L-O-W-S never wears off. Once you have them, you dread their next appearance.
(Thanks for the hugs!)
How are the girls? When do you leave to visit them?

Yeah... I've been staying away from anything that could be construed as seriously "unhealthy" in a Lyle Alzado sense. I could easily pass the "test" for inclusion in an "All Natural, we mean it this time" type body building contest if I could get my body fat low enough.
No worries there. My over all goal isn't to lose weight. It's to make the weight I do have look better. Zon warned me against getting all veiny and "icky" looking. Buff is ok, but she wants the smooth look.
Go figure...

The useful fools in the Irish Government are setting us up for a Sinn Fein/IRA coup, or an EU dictatorship, or perhaps both!

They are doing good. Ana is almost 100% out of diapers. We'd been doing a good job of training before they left, but it sounds like Grandma is in charge now. We were willing to go at Ana's pace for this. Apparently Grandma is stepping that time table up a bit.
I take off on the 11th of August and will be back on the 27th. They fly back down here on Sept. 5th.
