Today wasn't too bad - in the 80's. Plus it rained. It's cooled off quite a bit tonight.

I think I'm tired tonight because I spent a large part of the day chasing after a 4-year-old. LOL!

They are hard to catch without candy and are slippery as well.

She's pretty well-behaved. But she got a new bike with training wheels today, and I was teaching her how to use the brakes. That's why I was chasing after her. LOL!

Then I dunno why it seems sinister.

That's OK, someone will have to be with her the next two years IMO.

Can't have little ones like that driving on their own.

They will hit and run into things.
Don't want them to hit people or get into the street.

Yes, she will have to be watched whenever she rides it. She'll have to lose the training wheels and upgrade to a bigger bike before she can ride on her own.

Some one should get her a hot wheel.

She can do all kinds of things, won't fall off and is closer to the ground in any case.

Then I dunno why it seems sinister.

There are certain things one becomes immune to when one becomes old, jaded and knowledgeable about the ways of the world. For the foregoing for me, pick one of those three.

She has a tricycle, but she's pretty good on the bicycle with training wheels. It's a very small bicycle - she can put her feet on the ground when she's sitting on the seat.

Good night, Prof. Dr. Tulip Tree the 76th,

Perhaps our paths will cross more effectively in the near future.

Sorry about going away like that.

About one out of every ten times on the net I get something that pulls me away abruptly.

Have a nice night.

"... when one becomes old, jaded and knowledgeable about the ways of the world ..."

I'm glad I'm not as old as you are.

I don't think people get old. They become "tired" and dispirited.

I think humans should be able to live much longer lifespans, two or three thousand years, at least. It would take that long to become truly knowledgeable about the ways of the world, as opposed to simply "world-weary."

My kids are older than I am. "Mom...don't you think you're too old to be doing that?"

Kids get that way.

Morning, folks. Hubby is home for three days! I am tired. I posted a wildfire article on a thread about the NYT, thinking I was in the right window...oy veh. Hubby did NOT keep me up last night, in case you get the snickers. He just came off of a shift of 14 days straight of working 12-14 hours a day....

Two weeks at 4-5 hours of sleep a day for me while he was gone. He had to go into the office to take care of his paperwork this morning, but tomorrow, we sleep late!

That's okay. I was so tired, I couldn't stay up any longer. It looks like I was sleeping by the time you came back. LOL!

"Second childhood?" I'm not finished with the first one, yet!
