"Rolls-Kinnardly?" Jokes as old as mine are new again. This one is from Vaudeville.
"I just bought a new car. It's a Rolls-Kinnardly."
... "A Rolls-Kinnardly?"
"Yeah. It rolls down one hill, and can 'ardly get up the next one!"

In your experience, you mean to say? ;)

Robert Heinlein wrote "The Door Into Summer" regarding time travel, and the problem of money.
The guy used gold wire, wrapped around his waist.

There are times where that could get you into trouble, I suspect, but at least it was portable...
My favorite time travel story is "All You Zombies." I think.

Yes, toosie rolls in various time lines are a food group unto themselves which have more value than gold or the candy bar Ooops named after a future Democrat years from now who accidentally impregnated his intern.

It has just occured to me that some of the old Vaudeville routines have been resurrected ... as ventriloquist acts!
It's very outré for teams of funny men to appear together, but guys like Jeff Dunham can get away with it.

Dalmations aren't as noisy as beagles...hmmm...
Your World View |
You are a fairly broadminded romantic and reasonably content. You value kindness and try to live by your ideals. You have strong need for security, which may be either emotional or material.
You respect truth and are flexible. You like people, and they can readily make friends with you. You are not very adventurous, but this does not bother you. |

"My favorite time travel story is "All You Zombies." I think." Yes. That was a Heinlein story too. For a tour-de-force of how to take that idea to extremes, (as if it weren't!), read David Gerrold's "The Man Who Folded Himself."
He's the author of the Star Trek episode, "The Trouble With Tribbles," just to give you the flavor of his work.

To: Knitting A Conundrum
Your World View |
You are a happy, well-balanced person who likes people and is liked by others. You question whether many conventional views on morality are valid under all circumstances. You are essentially a content person.
Sometimes, you consider yourself a little superior. You are moral by your own standards. You believe that morality is what best suits the occasion. |
