Yes, it is. In fact, it's a pain in the [Message redacted by Message Redacting Moderator].

"There's a hummingbird at my window!"

Hummingbirds would be even more popular if they could remember the names to the songs.

(Tagline entry ... Worth a try!)

Now why did I say that? I meant to say this ...

Morning kiddies.

I think we're going to have another hot windy dy here, but that's OK...life is good!

I'm sorry about your malady, DC. When I get that way, I drink a beer and it settles things down. More than that seems to make it worse.

We got rain last week, TC. It surprised me, as I hadn't seen it in the forecast. I guess we needed it.

So, Steve...how are you enjoying Scottsdale? And are you completely recovered?

Bob...you're here! What a surprise! I thought you'd be out of town again...

Sion, are you feeling better?

Man! It's tough to catch up on stuff here!!

I am just about back to normal, normal for me, that is. Scottsdale is fine, and the epople are more friendly(and one helluva lot more conservative)than L. A.

Yup. I'm here. I'll most likely be gone or busy the next couple of weekends, but for now I'm ... well, ... grounded doesn't really seem appropriate, does it? (Not for someone as flightly as I am!)

Just log me in as "present."

Scottsdale IS a nice community, and I'm glad you aare finding it to your liking! AZ as a whole, is more conservative than LA ever thought of being. I like it! Nice scenery, too!

Don't forget to check out the AZ state website. It will give you all the info on places to see and things to do.

OK. You're "present" because you're definitely not "past."

I'm having a tough time keeping up with the thread this time. I wonder if that's because I have so many other things to do? Even so, boredom is awful...the kids are mostly onlline, playing games, so that cuts into my UT time. They're still in bed, now, so here I am...

I have a friend who does NOT get jokes. Especially the more subtle ones. Of couse, if you ask him kids riddles, he thinks the answers are hilarious.

The fact that he doesn't get the jokes is pretty darn funny!

The ones I sometimes don't get are the ones my fingers play on me.

On another thread, I wrote, "take the wind out of their sales."

Now, darn it, I know better! What were my fingers thinking?

Blame it on Darksheare...

Desperately trying to turn this into a "Bush's Fault" type joke...

"Blame it on Darksheare..."

Nah. I'll take my lumps.

Seriesly, I think it has to do with brain re-wiring that accompanies aging or other mental restructuring. As a habit such as typing becomes more and more automatic, the hierarchy of logical control is sometimes shortchanged.

Obviously, the thought-to-text program in my head is leaving the check for homonyms out of its operation. I never authorized that. (Honest, Tax-Chick, I didn't!)

So now, all the speed I've gained by becoming more efficient as a typist has to be sacrificed on the altar (not alter, dangit!) of editorial double-checking.

Sometimes it IS my fault.
And sometimes the fleshy underlings at the ends of our hands decide to rise up against us.
