I think we need to pull a Reagan on them.

Reagan knew that the Soviet Union was a hollow force. That by earnestly competing against them we would soon exhaust them, and show their bluster for the empty rhetoric it was.

The global realpolitik as developed in "The Pentagon's New Map" shows that Islamicism can be defeated economically. They are chronically unable to compete economically because they deliberately cripple themselves by hobbling half their population.

We need to concentrate on what America does best, economic progress and development. The Muslim world will be left in the dark ages ... yet again.

Can we ignore the physical threat? We may perhaps need to deal with it on a technical level. I would like every Islamist in the world to become convinced that every word he speaks is going to be recorded.

Making that happen would be a way to convince them it was so. Prove to them that they cannot plot and scheme because big brother is watching, or at least listening.

Their mosques should be infiltrated with "flies on the wall" technology to the extent that Russian-built American embassies were. Every hate-monger among them should be rounded up and deported.

Then let's see if they can evolve.
