, N.C. New DNA evidence may link a Duke University lacrosse player to an exotic dancer who claims she was raped in the team's house, a Durham newspaper reported Wednesday.
Citing "several well-placed sources," The Herald Sun of Durham, N.C., reported that tissue collected from under the alleged victim's fingernail might match a player who was at the team party where the attack supposedly occurred.

I agree with that completely. Sometimes doing things that we shouldn't be doing have unintended consequences.
But I have also heard that one these guys doesn't have such a stellar past himself.
Anyway, some good observations from other posters and I appreciate that.
Where's the scatch mark? and which ONE did she scratch? I thought they had rape hoodies on.
I am not saying she didn't, I just had not read that part of the story yet.....
I am saying the evidence we have seen so far is overwhelming that she is lying. Until I see something remotely resembling evidence that the two men charged were involved, I will continue to hold that opinion.
OJ never got convicted by a jury - by your standard, I guess we shouldn't be able to say bad things about him, either.
i am just going out on a limb here and wondering if Yellowdog might be a troll. I certainly don't here her complaining about the injustice of possible false charges and media scrutiny brought upon the accused.
But I won't.
Well, just waiting for you to rush out and stick up for, what appears to be, wrongfully accused players. Can't wait to see it miss.
Then why pre-judge? You admit your behind on the reports but claim to know why others "hate", come on - that is weak at best ;)
i agree yellow. Fact is no one knows if this gal was lying or not. How awful it would be to find out she was telling the truth all along and we on here were all bashing her calling her a whore and a liar.
I plan to keep mouth shut about this gal until there is a verdict for guilty or not guilty.
Just a thought...
However, we all make mistakes and I hope they can get on with their lives if they have been wrongfully charged and I hope they learn a valuable lessson. And yes, the girl should be charged if it is proved she lied.
When you've lived through such a nightmare, you will understand. One's sense of smell is heightened and one can sense when there is a dead mouse in the wall. I pray they catch whoever is responsible for either her assault or her smelly story.
OK lefties listen up. I have not called her any names at all if you see my posts. What I am simply saying is that yellow lefty was on here whining about people bashing the AV. I just don't like the double standard of coddling the poor AV when, in reality, the evidence and alibis point to the Accused being, in fact, innocent. Of course I wouldn't expect lefties to feel badly at all for the students who may or may not be wrongfully accused. As long as their names and photos are advertised everywhere.
Like you said, it is best to wait for more facts to come out.
There is no need to call names, especially after you just said you don't call people names.
And once again, the guys brought some of this on themselves.
Ditto.
Why not?? Hiring strippers is legal.
You feel sorry for a stripper that may have been raped but none for the guys who pay her who may have been falsely accused of rape?
If your son was facing 25 years in prison based upon allegations from an intoxicated prostitute with a serious criminal record I don't believe you would call it "hatred"....anger maybe. This case is creating so much anger because of the racial issue. One of my favorite games to play is "reverse the races" on any given news story. This one is a classic. If a group of black basketball players were accused of raping a white hooker with similar credentials would their season have been cancelled? If one of the black basketball players produced exculpatory evidence such as time stamped photos showing he wasn't even at the party when the alleged raped occurred would he still be charged? Would the DA refuse to even look at such evidence. Would the black players be indicted even after the DNA came back negative? Would Jesse Jackson be promising to pay the white "student victim's" college tuition? I think you know the answer to each an every question. "Hate" indeed.
Where did I say I feel sorry for the stripper?
