DURHAM -- Tissue found under the fingernail of an exotic dancer who claimed she was raped at a Duke University lacrosse party may match a player who was there, several well-placed sources said Wednesday.
Analyzing the tissue, scientists concluded it came from the same genetic pool and was "consistent" with the bodily makeup of one of 46 lacrosse players who gave DNA samples for testing, the sources said.
At the same time, scientists ruled out a possible match with any of the other 45 students, according to the sources.
If accurate, the fingernail tissue match would offer the first DNA evidence potentially linking the dancer and an alleged attacker.
But because a complete DNA pattern was not obtained from the tissue, it was not possible to match it with the nearly 100 percent certainty that DNA results usually offer, the sources added.
The dancer told police she clawed at three attackers as they raped and sodomized her for 30 minutes during the March 13-14 lacrosse house party at 610 N. Buchanan Blvd.

>>The poor guy probably needs money....thus the cab ride.<<
Well--thanks to Durham's "finest" he's going to have major lawyers fees to pay!
I have had about enough; I'm going to call Kevin Miller in the morning and ask him what the difference in the cab driver and HIM is.
The last time he voluntarily talked to the press, Rita Cosby all but called him a liar for mistaking the time of the second pickup that night. She got her "AHA" moment, but the cabbie may have learned the hard way not to feed the sharks.
Did you notice the slight nod and smug look on Kevin Miller's face when he said that? Jerk!
Thank You! Obvious intimidation.
Just heard Kevin Miller on FNC. He says the cabbie isn't credible because in order to talk to him, one has to take a cab ride!!! No kidding, he said that
_____________
Um..I do not even get that!
Was that guy suppose to be joking?
I'm very disturbed about this; I just called the governor's offic.
I told her that I was a resident of Raleigh and that I belonged to several web sites where this case was being discussed and maybe the governor ought to know that people are talking about not coming to NC and not even thinking about sending their kids to school here.
I would not send my child to Duke and have a relative who is relieved their child selected another school.

____
Exactly.
Sheesh this poor man. He is being attacked by that slob talk show host for not talking to him, yet what about the DA's action, whats the big mouth Kevin whats-his-face have to say about that!!
Yes I saw it.
Do it, I did.
So, if the cabbie was charged for transporting up a shoplifter will they charge him for driving an alleged rapist? Is that the message the DA is sending?
NC got alot of the industry that left Central New York because of high taxes and I know for a while, there was a big push to get filmakers there. I think "Last of the Mohicans" filmed there.
Welch-Allyn in Skaneateles, NY opened a plant there because it was cheaper.
If the country thinks arresting a witness on a phony charge for intimidation purposes is the norm, I think they will care.
Tell me, what is the hottest vacation/tourist spot in North Carolina??
This DNA may have never touched a finger!
It was on a piece of sticky acrylic, in a trashcan in the bathroom.
No way can you demonstrate a trail of transfer that shows that any part of his body ever touched any part of her body.
That piece of sticky acrylic may have well picked up this 'partial DNA' while sitting in that trash can.
Pinz
Can you believe this?
bump!
