LOL!!! What are we going to do when the season ends???
That would be fun!
LMAO!!
Politics have nothing to do with this. Richmond is a black city and Elliott has a profound respect for older music as well as modern day R&B, rap and hip hop.
Name someone bigger than (race baiter) West.....
Will help if he gets married some day....
He is interested in doing stuff with JDF. Not winning Idol will actually give him some room to do this. Not so sure if that would have worked with 19 E's agenda.
BTW, I haven't seen this here but Taylor supposedly won the coin toss and will perform second in the finale.
They had a coin toss? Smart move of Taylor to elect to kickoff and get the ball in the second half. All that eating BBQ and watching SEC football paid off!
Now see Virginia is such a class act. Darn it. Seattle could never touch this...
See post 5805 to see how the voting is affected by the capacity of the phone bank.
The major factor appears to be the capacity rather than the total number of voters. The actual differential is minimized by the lack of capacity. It wouild seem the order remains intact but the magnitude of the difference is minimized by capacity problems.
Thanks for the explanation on ratings link!
Both he and I went to Auburn. We know about football. BTW, I knew the 1998 season was going to be bad when we lost the coin toss for the opening game and elected to kick thus ensuring UVA got the ball at the beginning of both halves.....Auburn went 3-8 that year and the coach quit mid-year...
Dang............
Smart move.
The determining factor is going to be text messages, which means you have pay money to make your vote count.
Music style has to move, it's an inevitable touchstone. You can not keep music stalemate in a certain style, it has to breathe, for the better or worse.
The music of the past is great, no doubt, but there is also great music today just as all listeners will attest too. Each generation has it's movement. Don't forget how to listen.
Music is butter beans...
You seem to have missed my earlier comments on this thread in which I made exactly the same point.
Far too many people think that because someone expresses an opinion contrary to -- or at variance with -- their own, that person must be "bashing," (or stupid, or bad, or fill in your own term). Speaking only for myself, I have never "bashed" Katharine throughout this entire season. I initially thought she had the best voice of all the girls this year. Over time, I changed my mind because time and time again she had trouble with both her low regiser and her high register. Her voice only sounded really good in a comparatively narrow middle range.
In the last couple of weeks, I questioned my own assessment because the guest judges kept talking about her range. I wondered what they saw in rehearsals that we didn't see during Katharine's performances.
In the end, it comes down to personal musical preferences. I do not think Katharine has "an immense" talent. You have your preferences. I have mine. Katharine's future is assured no matter what you or I think.
300 motivated text phone voters can get in 300,000 votes in two hours. With that large a voter block the spread is very small.
Okay, I don't watch Ellen, but this is funny!
She asked the former Presidents to get Chris back on AI. Excuse Clinton being there.
