the 50 million votes cast broke down to a 33.06, 33.26 and 33.68 percent split between the three hopefulsThat means the top and bottom contestants were separated by only 310,000 votes.
#1 = 16,840,000 = 210,000 more than second
#2 = 16,630,000 = 100,000 more than third
#3 = 16,530,000
Maybe it's true, but it somehow the progression seems a little too neat.

I'll bet Taylor would be upset over this "skype" thing if he knew about it. I don't think his fans are doing him any favors with this.

I hope that he is willing to leave his home behind and move on.That's really unselfish and gracious of you. If he were from Seattle I am not sure I could be so giving. I have a deep interest in his staying healthy and either recording or developing a tour schedule to build a fan base outside of AI viewers.
Outside of his family and some friends there is nothing here for him.
But Rob, that's a lot. Besides, on the footage he was shown breathing the air and seemed to be expressing love for his home state.
Anyway I hope the recording offers come in enmasse. I had already emailed several which seemed likely to be interested in him. And if you don't have news for us shortly, I will be happy to organize an email campaign as well.
I was thinking about finding some news articles about the freshness of air in Seattle and sending them to him. Anything else you like, Elliott? LOL. I'll find a way to make Seattle have it available....

(Best coffee in the world there, though. Find out if Elliott is a Starbucks fan. :)

"My husband and I were talking about this. We think she sounds like a Branson variety show girl. Or maybe a Miss America contestant. She seems like a sweet girl but I really don't care for her style. By the way, be nice to the host!"I'm trying, but he's got some of that Clintonian smarm with him.
And like at any good party, eventually you tell the valet to run along and just go get the car.

I agree! The crappy thing for him is that stuff like this taints his winning. Now, don't get me wrong. I think he will win legitimately because he is so talented and appealing. But, those who really don't like him, will look to this and say "they cheated". Even if it's not enough to change results. If Katharine wins, and this is going on in her group, people will say the same thing. It takes something away from the winner, and I imagine that the fan bases wouldn't want to do that to their guy, or gal. I'm sure that Taylor and Katharine would not appreciate this sort of thing either.

You some seem to have missed the 20th century.
Entertainment is mostly about sex. It sells everything.
Kat is extremely wholsome for a Hollywood girl, but she has the sex apppeal and has immense talant to go with it.
I think a substantial portion of the Kat bashing is pure old fashioned jealousy.

Hmmmmmm very interesting..... A little reason interjected to dampen the emotion.
The closeness of the other vote bears this out.
The lines must be saturated for the whole 120 minutes to win. A few unsaturated seconds either way.....you lose

After someone posted the principle of a "maximum number of votes recorded in a specified time period" then I can completely believe the number. The bad part is that unless they at least double the number of lines and circuits available next week, the result is GUARANTEED to be 50.01/49.99 with the difference being text votes. And Cingular kicks back some revenue to AI for being the exclusive provider of text services. Follow the money...

He's such a sweetheart. Watching him grow from the beginning tryouts to what he has grown into today is amazing. He's really come a long way. The one thing I have always liked about Elliot is that he seems to be a very humble man.But that's my point about him, he's really likeable, but not marketable in mainstream radio. Whenever, I see someone comment on him it always revolves around his likeability or cuteness, not his real talent which is singing jazz...
