LET'S ROLL!!!
Howdy, y'all!
I'm so delighted about Tony Snow and read that the WH is looking for someone to challenge the press and help get the president's message out.
John Kerry will be interviewed tonight and tomorrow night by Bill O'Reilly.
Good Morning Chair. Thanks for getting us started. This darned Mumps thing is spreading like crazy. I have a young associate who is a pre law student at Drake. Officials are expecting a major outbreak on the Drake campus (Des Moines) within the next 10 days, during finals week.
4 students there have been officially diagnosed.
I have a document from the Iowa Dept of Health in my email, but it's full of charts and graphs, and I'm almost certain they won't print correctly if I copy and paste. If anyone is interested in it, freepmail me your email addy and I can forward it to you.
It's frosty here this morning. It looks like we'll be wearing sweatshirts today.
Speaking of McCain (yesterday's thread), I was polled on him last night. I told them they didn't want to know what I think of him.
I wouldn't understand the graph/charts if you sent them, but it's really curious that mumps have moved from state to state like this.
A brighter day here than yesterday, weather wise...
Won't be around for the next 3 days. Everyone stay safe, well, & upbeat despite the mumps, plague, and other concerns, like treasonous CIA agents...

This article says that we're experiencing the worst mumps outbreak in 20 years and the fear is a severe case can cause sterility. It is thought that two airplane passengers unwittingly spread the mumps as a result of airplanes using recycled air.

It was really amusing last night being a roomful of people who think just like we do about Lindsey Graham. I thought I was at a freep.
I hadn't heard about the mumps outbreak. Presumably from those who never got the vaccine? Personally I just don't agree with the anti-vaccine opinions. Yes, there are extremely rare instances of untoward reactions to vaccines or their components. But the overall benefits far outweigh those risks.
The anti-immigration/Bush bashing contingent tried to hijack the main thread about Tony Snow last night. We are losing good FReepers because of their tactics and stand to lose more, I've been reading. I have no doubt that many of the thread disruptors are trolls.
Good morning everybody. It's going to be cooler here today too. Only 85 as a high. (Couldn't resist, IG!)
Why doesn't Jim Robinson post something about not hijacking threads? Should we start pinging him or the mods or hitting abuse? It's gotton so out of hand it's impossible to have any thread without an immigration discussion on it.
It's going to be colder here for a few days too - in the 70's, which I love.
You, too, Molly.
I just can't stand the critters...
In a press conference yesterday by the dims there were the normal Dims and right in the middle of there were Lindsey Graham and Chucho Haggle. (Two Republacracts)
Last night we went to a drop in to meet a political candidate to replace our current Representative. Lindsey Graham's name came up and Toby, you'd think you were at a freeper meeting. Everyone in the room, without exception, said he is running as McCain's VP and no one had a good thing to say about Lindsey.
Good morning everyone.
The morning rant almost always starts in paragraph 4 of the opening. I could suggest you skip to there as the rest of the stuff usually doesn't have exclamation points.
Sometime back, IG, I was polled about whether I would vote for McCain or Hillary for President. The girl on the other end of the phone could very well have a busted ear drum from my answer...."NEITHER ONE!"
There must be some other choices out there in our 300 million Americans.
Be careful, Toby, spreading that fresh chicken stuff...it burns plants unless it's aged. BTW I've heard that grits only grow in the South. 8)
I am still laughing about GWB's opening remarks when announcing Tony Snow as the next press Secty:
GWB: ".....Tony already knows most of you,,, and he decided to take the job anyway".
There was neary a laugh from the press corp.
