We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
I'm back. Nice, quiet time along the beach, but way too short. Kids were picked up from the airport last night, and they look like they've been to Florida, complete with the requisite sunburn (not too bad, either of them).
In the news...
The Evil One is promising a long war with the United States and has, in his latest video tape, promised to make war upon civilians. He has also called upon his supporters to combat the UN "peacekeeping" force located in the Sudan.
The Evil One's logic for attacking civilians is that the civilians are supporting their governments' new Crusades upon the Mid-East.
Oil prices are easing back from their recent highs of $75/bbl.
Meanwhile, both Senate Majority Leader Frist and Speaker Hastert are engaging in a major cover thy six and blame someone else because it wasn't my fault game. Both leaders are blasting the President for not doing enough about high gasoline prices--well, Congress, where's the drilling in ANWR? Where's the additional refining capacity allowance?
And the daughter of the founder of Earth Day says gas prices are not nearly high enough (she doesn't say what "high enough" is).
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
.......100 confirmed dead so far..........
..If illegals are flooding in unchecked...
..how easy it would be for terrorists to get in...
..and maybe we would have Egypt's headlines in our own country.
I fear it's only a matter of time, Guennie.:(
True. What are you going to do about the Canadian border?
I knew that was coming. But what about the thousands of miles of unpatrolled border, around Minnesota, Montana, Idaho, etc?
Bev, my sincere sympathies go out to you. Miss Lily rests now in the Everlasting Arms.
Not a clue.
E.D is of course and liberal and I've suspected Steve is also liberal leaning for quite some time.
I am quite tired of her.
Interesting about the passports and Mexico. When we went to Mexico over New Years, we only had to have photo ID because we were there less than 7 days. Anything over that required a passport, however the link Mozie put up says ALL travel will require it. Hmmmm...
We've been near a border town all winter. Walking across the bridge and back for the day has required only a photo ID to get back into the good old USA. (Gotta wonder if that's going to change). Nothing except a quarter or two for the turnstiles is required to get into Mexico.
Coming back into America, an agent asks if you are a US citizen, you (or anybody going through the line, Hispanics included) answers "yes", the agent barely glances at your drivers license and you sail on through.
December 31, 2006 Passport or other accepted document required for all air and sea travel to or from Mexico and Canada.
December 31, 2007 Passport or other accepted document required for all air, sea and land border crossings.
Looks like as of 12/31/07 ALL border crossings to or from Mexico and Canada will require a passport........
I have no argument with your conclusion.
I'd like to know what these "republicans" have against ANWR drilling. The last pub that shot down ANWR (east coast, Delaware maybe, not thinking of the name) was found to have taken Soros campaign contributions.
Are there truly enough of these republicans in blue states or environmental wacko-friendly areas that are afraid they'll lose their if they support ANWR??
Or, do they listen to and believe Al Gore...?!
Oh no!
Bev, Miss Lillie was such a special, beautiful lady - inside and out. We know about the inside from you and we can see the outside in the wonderful pictures Dolly posted.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
It may be fewer than that; at one hotel, there were 17 confirmed dead and 150 wounded; no reports yet from the other 2 hotels.......
Update: 30 confirmed dead..
I don't feel terrible, but I don't feel well, either. I've taken cold-eze.
