AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 1919) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | April 24, 2006 | All of Us

Posted on 04/24/2006 4:55:31 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

I'm back. Nice, quiet time along the beach, but way too short. Kids were picked up from the airport last night, and they look like they've been to Florida, complete with the requisite sunburn (not too bad, either of them).

In the news...

The Evil One is promising a long war with the United States and has, in his latest video tape, promised to make war upon civilians. He has also called upon his supporters to combat the UN "peacekeeping" force located in the Sudan.

The Evil One's logic for attacking civilians is that the civilians are supporting their governments' new Crusades upon the Mid-East.

Oil prices are easing back from their recent highs of $75/bbl.

Meanwhile, both Senate Majority Leader Frist and Speaker Hastert are engaging in a major cover thy six and blame someone else because it wasn't my fault game. Both leaders are blasting the President for not doing enough about high gasoline prices--well, Congress, where's the drilling in ANWR? Where's the additional refining capacity allowance?

And the daughter of the founder of Earth Day says gas prices are not nearly high enough (she doesn't say what "high enough" is).

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Did your weather just, like, get suddenly nasty a few hours ago?

We dropped 32 degrees in about 4 hours.:(

God be with you, yours, and Miss Lily.

Through the years your good sense and the wonderful things you have inherited/learned from your mother and Larry have been inspirational to those of us who lurk.

Thank you.
Charlene

As the day went on, the temps dropped. The weather report on local news reports that we were 30 degrees cooler at 6:00 p.m. than we were last night at the same time. Light frost predicted for tonight as the sky has cleared. Fortunately, I don't have anything growing that needs to be covered. I am thinking the radishes that are poking through can take 30 degrees. Also, the perenniels.

It was VERY sudden here. A big WHOOSH of wind, and then the temp. just started plummeting.

BTW I watched a little bit of the movie "Fargo" tonight....someone had told me about the exaggerated Minnesota accents.......no kidding..............I've never heard anyone in Minnesota talk like that. I think it sounded more like a Chicago accent, with just a tinge of Northeast Wisconsin. Have you ever seen the movie?

I've seen the movie Fargo and agree that the accents were exagerated as were many other things in the movie. I think it was meant to be a farce anyway. I've certainly never heard anyone speak that way although those of us who live in the Midwest do have an accent of sorts just as southeners and easterners do.

Good morning. I don't know how I feel about TS taking that job. I think he'd be great, but I like him where he is, too. But oh, what joy it is just to look at that HUNK!

Good morning, Jem.

I agree. He will be missed. I enjoy his radio show and weekend TV show.

I hope he can return to both after a few years.

I was just listening to Jerry Rice on F&F. He apparently has arthritis. A superb pro football player..obviously in great shape... said that when he was on Dancing With the Stars he used muscles he never new he had.

Good morning.

How are you feeling today, lysie?

Jerry Rice seemed like such a gentleman on "Dancing with The Stars." I really liked him.

I'm happy for Tony. This will be a large feather in his cap. Will pray for him every day, though, as the sharks go after him. Think it's a plus that he's very aware of 'our' views. Hope he has time to communicate with his fans now and then, but I suppose he'll hardly have time to do too many extra things. God bless him.

Good morning.

Dancing with the Stars was one of my favorite television shows, although I didn't like the scoring system. Jerry Rice did fairly well for a football player and had tons of charisma and seems like a great guy.

I'm feeling much better. I felt weak yesterday, but I seem to be much stronger today. I think I beat it. I will still take it a bit easy today. Thanks for asking.

How are you?

Busy! Had son's twins here overnight last night, and they should be waking up very soon.
Will go to daughter's and sit with the other two later this morning.

Good morning, Peach.

I love dancing. Why I never watched the show? I have no idea. ;-)
