Tension high in Duke caseN.C. stripper hides as TV shows pics

The victim, a single mom who turned to exotic dancing to support her two kids, attends North Carolina Central University, a mostly black college in Durham.

She plans to keep a low profile until the students go on trial to avoid inflaming tensions in the black community, where opinion is running heavily against the privileged students.

One of the most hurtful things for the woman about the media circus surrounding the case, the cousin said, is the tendency to assume the worst about her because she is a stripper.

"She's a victim and she's a human being," the cousin said. "Her occupation couldn't justify that a crime like this was committed."

Kerry Sutton said that when the names came down, they all looked at each other and said, "Who?"

I wonder if Crystol documents her 'income' from her 3Xweek one on ones....as a "poor single mon working her way through college" is she collecting "unearned income" from the taxpayers?

Hannity apparently hasn't been following the story as well as some, as he had no come back.

Hannity didn't have a comeback because, well, he's Sean. Hannity's heart is in the right place, but let's put it this way. He's no William Buckley. He's not even a Rush Limbaugh.

Sean is what we call a "hard worker", and like I said, his heart is in the right place. I just don't think he's terribly quick in off-the-cuff debates or in the area of analytical thinking.

"I guess that's considered a "dog bites man" story..."

Not sure what that means. I posted that as an example of the rampant double standard. The liberal press is lambasting these guys for being so crude as to hire a stripper. They must be guilty of rape, after all they are rich and white. But all we really know is that they are white. The one black guy wasn't tested despite being present at the party. yet the 46 white guys were all tested regardless of the other circumstances.

perhaps she was raped but it seems doubtful. With no evidence it seems the only thing the prosecutor has is a victim with a questionable past and a story full of holes.

False accusations make it that much harder for real victims.

Answers to your questions:

1)No one, this is NC after all. House Speaker Black (D)is under Federal and State investigation and nothing will come of this either for the DA. He is a Dem in Durham.

2)Heck no. She will be exalted in Durham for pointing out the "truth". They may build a statue of her likeness on the NC Central campus. This is Durham after all.

3)Heck no - see answers 1 and 2.

4)Tens of millions. Shakedown Jackson will shake Duke down for over $10 million so the "healing" can begin in Durham

Don't count on it.

I do not think the players families are going to let this go if this is dismissed.

Tawana Brawley case was more racially heated and back with leftest Governor,Mayor, and Sharpton in the mix, it was pretty bad.
However, the two attorney's representing TB were eventually disbarred, and the DA was fired.

Never say never.

Thanks. I didn't realize that is their policy. I guess you are guilty until proven innocent.

I've been saying that all along.

Does anyone believe this woman reported this money as income?

The other stripper too.

If you'll ck out the difference between rape and rough sex there's a difference and those examiners know the difference. Now understand I in NO way am taking up for her...but there is evidence of a rape. I don't for one minute think it happened by the Duke Students but there is something there.

Here in Asheville (Buncombe County) adult entertainers do have to be licensed. Recently one woman (51 years old!) was charged with prostitution and not having an adult entertainment license! NC just wants more money.

When I was in college, my fratnerity hired a stripper to come to our house for a bachelor party. When the stripper showed up, she came with two bouncers. I guess I always thought that was the norm, since it was my only experience with a "house call".

I'll bet she was sober and "put together", too.

I see that, thank you. But, there's nothing there to indicate why she has THREE license suspensions. I believe the substance abuse stuff is protected or maybe that's if you go into a certain program where it's confidential and you're eligible for probation.

>>but there is evidence of a rape<,

REALLY?? What is the evidence? I sure haven't heard or seen any. Only the word of a politically motivated DA.

Just wondering how a person can be arrested if he has such a solid alibi?

It's called probable cause.

Not a clear cut situation that the person DID the crime alleged. But the presence at the scene of the crime, opportunity and motive all gives rise that he is a suspect.

The DA is usually the one to make a determination of whether said person should be charged.

Rarely, but it does happen, the DA throws it against the wall to see what sticks. Obtain a plea bargain? Actually get a conviction. I was on a 3 strike jury with only circumstantial evidence provided. And the Defendant didn't plea like a good defendant should.

He walked. But the jury was 6-6 following the trial.

So does the 3 in Dante mean you post everything three times???

After looking at the pictures I don't see how these guys could be any more guilty than the way the must have felt afterwards. Idiots got set up the bomb. Idiot boys. Glad my boys got to see this before their old enough for beer and testosterone to make them loose their senses.
