The victim, a single mom who turned to exotic dancing to support her two kids, attends North Carolina Central University, a mostly black college in Durham.

She plans to keep a low profile until the students go on trial to avoid inflaming tensions in the black community, where opinion is running heavily against the privileged students.

One of the most hurtful things for the woman about the media circus surrounding the case, the cousin said, is the tendency to assume the worst about her because she is a stripper.

"She's a victim and she's a human being," the cousin said. "Her occupation couldn't justify that a crime like this was committed."

I used to prosecute, and one of the most important aspects of my case would be to try to analyze the defense--BEFORE indictment/information...

Between the compelling photographic evidence of the evolution of the state of her nails, the nail polish on the back railing, the finding of the four unpainted nails and the finding of no DNA under any the nails, those facts will prove to be important "nails" in the coffin of her story, if you'll pardon the pun

Once I saw the timeline with the photographic evidence, it became a case I would not have touched with a ten-foot pole!

Actually, it was fishy right from the start--gang rapes are extremely rare, as is white on black rape, frankly!

I think they were in a huff when somebody asked if they brought sex toys (I mean, they WERE groveling on each other, according to what the pictures say) and may have said, "Never mind, we've got a broom." It spiraled out of control after that.

I think this is right on the money. Even skanky strippers have feelings. They spend time getting dressed up to look "sexy", they put a little effort into the show but the guys are just bored. The sex toys/broom comment is fairly innocuous but it really says "hey, you aren't sexy, you're pathetic. You suck." The the strippers are offended and comment on "inferior white boy anatomy" and a national scandal is on.

I think the DA has been outrageous and has caused most of the racial tension in Durham.

Twitching was quite noticeable....everytime the word "rape" was uttered, Gloria jumped up and screamed "Hallelujah"..Jim and Ted were twitching and moaning....Greta was chanting about Thetans...I've never seen anything like it!

- She might be wrong about when she arrived.
- She may have been wrong about how long the Gang rape took place.
- She may not have a complete memory of the event yet.
- It may have been legit that it took her 31 hours to remember any details whatsoever and almost a month to ID ANYONE.
- She may have been wrong about having to run out of the building to escape her assailants.
- A Police Officer may have been wrong in his professional assessment that she was drunk.
- The 2nd Dancer may have not detected a Gang Rape on the same floor of a small house - or detected it from the subsequent behavior of the accuser.
- They may have have changed into Jackets before assaulting the women.
- They may have been calm getting into a cab, because not everyone acts the same after participating in a gang rape.
- They may have used fake names
- They may have manipulated the camera or film
- They may have pulled it off without leaving any DNA whatsoever (in a Gang-Rape sodomy?
- They may have drugged her.
- They may have requested 2 black strippers and perpetrated a hate crime.
- She may have neglected to say anything about a team or Duke students to the doctors and attending staff at Duke Medical center
- Her Father may have been mistaken when he initially said, in a lengthy interview that "she didn't tell us anything about it" which was in direct conflict with an interview where the accuser said her father came to visit her at the hospital and she stated she had to report the crime for him.
- She may have made an honest mistake when first reporting $2000.00 was in her missing purse.
- She may have been sober when arriving at the party and regularly makes a habit out of hopping around in one shoe (2 minutes after arriving).
- She may have not noticed when orally penetrated that her attackers were wearing condoms.
- She may have been smiling after the Gang-Rape due to incoherence - even though it doesn't match her account of the event.

So, the 20 aforementioned items may be true or this (1) may be true - SHE LIED.
