AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 1912) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | April 17, 2006 | All of Us

Posted on 04/17/2006 2:26:45 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

China has now surpassed Britain as the world's fourth largest economy.

That comes at a price--pollution. According to the Chinese Government's own numbers, there are only 53 "blue sky" days a year in Beijing. The Government had set a target of 230 days a year by the 2008 Olympics.

The Danube River in Europe has reached record flood levels, brought on by the melting of something you may not have heard about in all the global warming screaming--a particularly harsh Balkan winter.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

How interesting! I can remember some things in great detail, but it isn't all-inclusive. For example, I used to work for a furniture store and would make housecalls to people who wanted design help. I would measure the room, get with the store interior designer, who would make up a floor plan with recommended purchases including fabrics, accessories, etc.

I can remember EVERY room I measured, including the location of the original furniture, the type of carpet and drapes, the original accessories, etc. I remember this in great detail. I also can remember the decor and placement of furniture in my grandmother's home, my childhood homes, my first apartment, my friend's homes, etc. Somehow my brain triggers on this stuff and stores it away.

My brother-in-law read a book on how to improve one's memory, and he has used it to memorize things like everyone's license plates (in the family), the presidents and vice presidents of the United States, etc. He is interested in doing this just to see if he can.

I am fascinated by this story and your daughter's memory. Has she explained to you how she does it, or is it just something she automatically does without really knowoing how?

New game designed to stretch, train, and expand mental abilities such as math, logic, and memorization.

It's under $20.00..I think.

I'm seeing Red X's this morning. I wonder if anyone else is, or if it's the super dooper firewall my guru installed?

Oh Brother! I sure wish I could remember useful things. All the storage capacity in my brain is filled with the lyrics of late 50's and early 60's songs.

If I could just dump all those lyrics, I would have space for important stuff.

The catch to that brain game..It may cost $20.00 ,but you need Nintendo DS to play it and that costs over $100.00. Dang!

Thanks for the links, Molly...........I'm getting a blank page on the Barone piece. I listen to him because he's usually right on. In a nutshell, what did he say?

Really, it's just something we've taken for granted with her for years....

..especially now that my husband and I are older (& getting older by the day :)

..we'll call her & ask 'when did this or that happen' or 'where are we in this photo'....

..and she'll tell us the whole storyline....what time of year, what we wore, who said what...

...She really prides herself in this...

..Strangely enough....or not so strange....since she gave birth, she's a bit less decisive in some of her memory.

I told her not to worry....ALL moms loose memory chips after giving birth :^)
