We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
China has now surpassed Britain as the world's fourth largest economy.
That comes at a price--pollution. According to the Chinese Government's own numbers, there are only 53 "blue sky" days a year in Beijing. The Government had set a target of 230 days a year by the 2008 Olympics.
The Danube River in Europe has reached record flood levels, brought on by the melting of something you may not have heard about in all the global warming screaming--a particularly harsh Balkan winter.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

If there's a door, there's a reason.
I've been burned enough not to touch a stove anymore.
3 is my limit....

My chickens are fed every morning, they range feed the rest of the day. They got the shock of their life today, SIL put a two strand electric wire fence around my garden. a couple hit it and took off running, so did two of my dogs, they learned too, I can finish planting tomorrow now.
Cut an acre of my yard today, I save out that acre to cut with a gas push mower, helps me stay in shape but boy oh boy I am worn out, I am laying back doing nothing now, my favorite baseball team, Atlanta Braves, play on TV at 6.

I'm mean enough to think that was funny. I have been out in the yard since around 10. JT went back to Covenant and after he left I began weeding again. I quit about 4:30 to put up tools and clean-up the area. I'm beginning to see the end of the restoration of this particular section. Its a big yard. Oh yes, the frame over the blueberries is done and the bird neeting is up. Yippee! Done just in the nick of time. I fertilized the roses and now I am finished. Oh yes, the roses began blooming, just two buds last week but now they're going gang-busters. I love flowers.
Tonight, I do taxes. When you don't have much, it don't take long.

Hello, GC! Be careful that you don't go backing into that electric fence!
We had a thunder storm here today...actually a downpour and winds galore. Now that the ground is good and wet, I'm putting out my heirloom tomato plants and mulch tomorrow.
I'll have to hurry up though because we're all keeping up w/the events in Durham and the DA's railroading of the Lacrosse players.
Then I've got to keep my eyes open to watch American Idol. HA. North Carolina still has 2 performers at the top...one of them is from my hometown, so naturally I'm keeping up w/all of that.

Just a quick report from Utah. It snowed today. We were hoping a snow day would be called, but it wasn't. It's supposed to rain/snow off and on all night, then clear up tomorrow. I just love spring weather (as I sit here in sandals and a spring shirt.)
To: Carolinamom
I'm shutting down to relax and watch TV. See you in the morning.

Sandals and snow? LOL...Besides the azaleas and dogwoods blooming now, my rhododendron has put out its first purple blooms. It's loaded w/buds so there's the promise of more beauty to come. I love Spring, my favorite season.
R&R is good for you lysie....'she's' still gone? See you tomorrow. Have a good night's sleep as well. ((lysie))

I worked out in my yard until about an hour ago also Jemian. Sounds like you are WAY ahead of me however in tasks accomplished. Dirty hands & body, sore muscles, hungry!
How nice you have roses already. Ours are just starting to sprout leaflets. Still in the spring flower blooming. Forsythia, daffodils, bloodroot, trout lilies, and of course the early harbinger weed here... colts foot.

It is now blue skies and clouds to the west and black clouds over the mountains. It is supposed to reach 55 tomorrow. Weird weather.
I saw Cinderella Man over the weekend. Excellent movie.
To: Utah Girl
Wasn't that good? Russell Crowe & Rene did a great job in it

This is a friendly heads up....something is afoot along the Pakistan-Afghan border.
A hammer and anvil type operation is underway.

I just got an email from Bevlar. Her mother, Miss Lily, has pneumonia and is gravely ill. Miss Lily is receiving paliative care. Please pray for both Miss Lily and Bev.
