AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 1909) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | April 14, 2006 | All of Us

Posted on 04/14/2006 2:56:33 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

The New York Times has officially gone of the deep end. They hate the administration so much that they have lost all logic. They found a bunch of retired generals that oppose Bush's Iraq policy and they say this poses a threat to Rumsfeld's hold over the Pentagon. The retired, as in no longer there, generals pose the threat.

Absent any Federal answer to the problem, a number of local jurisdictions are now taking it upon themselves to locate and detain illegal immigrants that commit any offense until INS officials take the perpetrators.

Moussaoui was on the stand yesterday in Federal court in Alexandria, VA. He said that he had "no remorse, whatsoever" about 9/11, and that he wished there had been such attacks "September 12, September 13, September 14, September 15, and every day."

Occassionally, very, very, very, very occassionally, the ACLU does the right thing. They have agreed to file a lawsuit on behalf of a 15-year-old Fallbrook High student in San Diego, CA, if the school does not remove a reprimand from her record for bringing a small (presumably in the 3" x 4.5" size range) American flag tucked into a pocket.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

I did. I was asleep by 9:00pm and only woke up once during the night.

I'm getting excited about the gardening season. Nobody will stop me from enjoying it this year...nobody.

Good morning. Great links, Molly and thanks.

I have a question and will check back in later. When I link something from FR, the link says Free Republic and then numbers and words.

Your nice links look so much better and give the title. How do you do that?

Good Morning Molly. Yes, the ugly weather was about 45 miles NE of us. We had yellow sky, thunder and lightening, but no wind, no rain.

Our farmers are grateful for the 'no rain' thing. Spring planting has begun here, and it it a fast and furious pace.

Great links, Molly, thank you!

lysie, I am headed out to evaluate my garden "needs" (dreams) for the year. The beds look so nice all cleaned out, and ready for new plant babies.

I've just come in from inspecting my gardens. What a tremendous amount of work awaits me out there.

I think I will tackle the kitchen and Mt Laundry first.

Speaking of the kitchen and Mt Laundry. I think I'll go put my combat boots on and start the day. I'll check in later.

Oh my...Peach, it was W. who taught me to link some 6 years ago, and he's such a good teacher, while me...

I see what I can do...

For example, here's the beginning of the process - which you refer to:

Step 1....(a href="http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1609524/posts")...only where there are the parentheses, substitute these: <....> to enclose that FR "address"

Step 2: following the > and using NO spaces, write the title you wish to use, which for me is usually the title of the thread or close to it: e.g....>Saddam & Osama Connections Found

Step 3 End the title with(/a), only, again substitute < and > for the parentheses, and eliminate any spaces between the title and the closing (/a)

Hope this is clear??

Also to help me with posting so many links at one time, I usually print out the first page of the thread I'm going to link, and use that to guide me a few minutes later as I get ready to post them...I'm sure there are other ways to handle that, but it's the way I've used for years!

Hi, Molly.

I'll be buying some pansies today to plant in a huge pot on the deck. Their smiling faces will brighten each day.

How are you feeling?

Good Friday Morning to you.

We had a wonderful Holy Thursday Mass yesterday evening. My 3 children went up to get their feet washed, and my youngest ushered.

We've started a tradition at our house of partaking in eating lamb after Mass on Thursday evening. (Certainly a great link to Passover, and the Paschal Lamb of God.)

I hope that this day, and weekend brings reflections and blessings on these holiest of holy days.

God Bless!

My nephew is interviewing Collin Powell this week. Powell has suddenly become accessable to the press. I would not be surprised to read about Powell engaging in some major Bush bashing in the next few days. Steve's interview with Powell will likely get big play in the LA Rag... that is if it is anti Bush enough.

"....The United States is experiencing its first mumps outbreak in almost 20 years. It began in the midwestern state of Iowa in December 2005.  By April 12, more than 600 confirmed, probable and suspected cases have been reported in sixty counties in Iowa. Many of those infected had been previously vaccinated against the disease.

Interestingly enough, the worst areas being effected by the Mumps outbreak are college campuses.

It makes you wonder if there was some bad vaccine for a couple of years.

There is also some speculation that immunity by vaccine doesn't last forever.

How about this???

$60B tax refund

WASHINGTON -- The Treasury Department, following a series of hostile court rulings on the way it assesses the federal excise tax on phone service, is working on a plan to stop collecting the levy and refund billions of dollars to consumers and businesses, according to people familiar with the matter.

Government officials are holding closely guarded discussions on how to best handle the repayment process as well as mitigate the impact of about $60 billion in potential refunds and lost federal revenues over the next five years. The surcharge would likely disappear from long-distance and wireless bills, but local-call levies could remain.

I wonder what would have happened if that girl had taken a Mexican, Irish or Chinese flag to school? What in the world is happening to our school system in this country. It's almost as if we've hired a bunch of foreigners who really dislike this country, to teach our youngsters.

Goog Morning, All. I'll be busy in the yard today, I'm going to drill a 2" hole in a couple of buckets and plant my cherry and grape tomatoes. Thanks, lysie. I'm also planting some yellow and burpless cucumbers in old galvanized tubs and let the runners climb the fence also putting a tomato plant in the tubs and let them use the fence for support. My bush beans are up and doing very well, my pepper plants are doing great too. So far my kohnrabi are still hiding "down under".
