It will pass the House of Representatives if only a few hundred thousand of us contact them (they are already close). It will pass the Senate when a few dozen of those corrupt prima donnas get voted out of office. It will pass neither House. Peter King was backpedaling like mad, yesterday, insisting that the provision in HR 4437 which would make felons out of priests who hear the confessions of an illegal without asking for "papers" would not do that.
The Catholic Church has scared the hell out of these Congressmen, and rightly so. Penalizing clergymen for doing their job is insanity.

Let a few thousand voters contact his office demanding serious sentences for violating immigration laws, and Peter King will be back on board.

Penalizing clergymen for breaking the law of the land is a good thing, in all cases.

Last time I looked, it is not the clergy's job to destroy the U.S., which is exactly what they are doing by supporting the illegal immigrants.

But I will tell you, Sink, this provision (and the issue in general) has really brought out the Nativist inside of a lot of Freepers.
