AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 1902) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | April 7, 2006 | All of Us

Posted on 04/07/2006 4:59:58 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

The best news of the whole immigration fiasco appears this morning--the non-amnesty amnesty bill appears stalled in the Senate in the face of opposition from some GOP members (including the Commonwealth's Allen) who have the temerity to call McCain's bill what it is, amnesty for lawbreakers.

After a decision from the Colorado attorney general that would not support the action, Shaw Heights Middle School in Westminster, CO, surrendered and dropped its ban against the display of the American flag.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Remember, though, in response to those 100 kbbls we get from Mexico, they get a bunch of greenbacks that would stop. Works both ways.

I think these CFRs are trying to emulate Europe with their open borders.

Yep, you're right, but with the mindset of these mexicans, it wouldn't surprise me one bit, if that communist is elected he doesn't pull something. I don't trust any So American countries. I've been to only one town in mexico and it was immediately across the border, other than that I only know what I've read. I just don't trust them.

That's true, Chair, but they could sell the oil somewhere else and we would be paying higher prices for a shrinking supply. The oil market is already feeling the strain of supplying India and China. If Mexico and Venezuela refused to sell to us, we would be left with only the Middle East supply.

I firmly believe this is a real danger, and that is why the President has been emphasizing alternative energy, and also why he is walking a delicate line with Mexico.

Not right away.

Now, it would be better if we could open ANWR to drilling--then after a fashion, we'd say "we won't buy your oil" and then pump our own. The other side would have the disruption. We need some of that.

But currently, both of us would have a disruption. Us while we looked for new suppliers, them while they look for new customers. The only question in the equation is who needs the other more. So far, I'm betting them.

I think you're right, till.

We just got back from getting outfits for our grand daughter and a huge yellow (her favorite color) stuffed bunny. I can't wait to see how my husband plans to ship that :-)

Mexico and other South American folks, you can bet that they are grabbing their change of clothes and heading north before the 'so called' Washington politicians pass something that could delay them crossing the border an extra day. What a shame, those folks in Washington are a Joke, a big joke at that.

Hi, Dog. So far all the storms have been 30 miles north of us or 20 miles south of us. We have had some thunder and a little rain, but that's about it.

My granaddaughter is here. Because of the weather I went to get her at the sitter's (the other two children are in DC with their mother). My son is on his way for dinner, and then granddaughter is going to stay the night. (We have a basement.)

Thanks for being concerned. You are a good friend.

We were supposed to have rain this late afternoon and evening.

The sky is a beautiful blue, the trees are in new leaf and the birds are singing divinely.

We need some rain.

I have done a bit of yard work today. Beds are weeded, roses are pruned and fertilized. And I continued working on removing all the ivy and other vines from the area in the front of the house. Major project.

I picked up a lawn mower. It was desparately needed. I also picked up a two-stroke weed-eater.

I smell like gasoline. Today was carburator day.

I have disassembled, re-assembled, re-dis-un-re-assembled parts today until I'm sick of it.

The mower works now. The weed-eater doesn't, unless I run it on nitro-methane(I had some laying around... don't ask). But it won't run long on that... fast, hot, and quick... but not long.

Tomorrow, I disassemble the whole kit and kaboodle, and make everything right.

The old frenchman and I took out two nasty trees today, out of the yard. I'll plant good trees in their place.

"Thanks, but we've found someone with more recent experience than you have."

That was the response on the job hunt about noon. About an hour ago, and I got an e-mail from another contract house, looking to submit me on a job...

I remain positive. One door slammed shut, but a window nearby opened.

Prayers should probably continue.

And thanks for those that everyone has raised.

Oh, Johnny. That is so disappointing. I just knew that this would be a perfect. I'm sorry.

Something will turn up; you're right about that. I just thought this was it.

We never know. We see through a glass, darkly.

I'm happy to leave it up to Him.

I've worked for Belcan before, so the new opperknockity tuning is ok.

Opperknockity tunes but once. Opportunity knocks but once.... Old ham radio joke/pun.
