We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
The best news of the whole immigration fiasco appears this morning--the non-amnesty amnesty bill appears stalled in the Senate in the face of opposition from some GOP members (including the Commonwealth's Allen) who have the temerity to call McCain's bill what it is, amnesty for lawbreakers.
After a decision from the Colorado attorney general that would not support the action, Shaw Heights Middle School in Westminster, CO, surrendered and dropped its ban against the display of the American flag.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
LET'S ROLL!!!
Good morning!!
Good morning and thanks for the thread Chair. And good for the CO AG!!
I worry about my ex-state of residence, beautiful Colorado. Seems like it's being taken over by liberals.
Except for Colorado Spring which I'm told is very conservative. Very with a capital "V".
Good morning. I am very proud of my state senator, Jeff Sessions. He opened for us the mysterious midnight document a gang of five RINOS attempted to slip past us.
Good Morning Chair. Thanks for getting us started this morning.
I'm going to count on your to keep me informed on the Federal Goings On. We have a state government scandal erupting here in Iowa, and since I know most of the players, I'm following it rather than trying to follow everything.
..but why he is suppporting and calling for the immediate passage of this 'amnesty' illegal alien bill stymies me to the max!
Can someone... smarter and calmer than I.... please tell me what's going on here.
I thought we were fighting a war on terror....???
Why make it easier for 'who knows what' to cross our borders, or even for those who are already here illegally, stay here and perhaps plan mayhem?
And why aren't companies who are clearly breaking the law by hiring illegal aliens not confronted and penalized for doing so?
I am so confused!
I wish the Senators would just go home NOW and get some input before they hem and haw and write up still another bill purporting to solve the immigration problem. They ARE supposed to be representing their constituents, aren't they?
..and while never lived there, I've resided there, as a visitor, for months at a time and my observation...(which I'm sure Two Thirds could clarify much better)...
..is that Colorado, like most states in the West, tend to be tilted liberal....but with strong conservative pockets.
Boulder is called 'The Peoples Republic of Boulder'....by some.
But Colorado Springs is the residence of Focus on the Family...and I have to think they have great influence on the surroundings and community.
Plus the Air Force Academy.
I am greatful to the governor for his strong stands, on many occasions.
When we were there (Denver) we found some good strong evangelical churches in the area...
BTW, Westminster is 15 minutes from Boulder, which is probably the most liberal city of the area.
Something to do with the upcoming election in Mexico. I heard that Fox was trailing in polls and his opponent is a staunch anti-American. Supposedly our interests are in not alienating any more Mexicans.
I don't care if that is true myself. I can't see what advantage there is in sucking up to Mexico. They need us a lot more than we need them.
Someone tell me what is good about cozying up to Vicente Fox and supporting his election...when all we seem to get from that country is border problems, bad attitdudes, kidnappings, refusal to comply with our authorities when thugs commit crimes here and escape back to Mexico and claim immunity?...etc.
How is an anti-American going to be worse....
I'm sorry....but I can't see the advantage right now of Fox!
For the PC folks...(which I don't think ATRW has, but others lurk)...
The only anti I am is illegal folk!
I guess I wonder why we have to worry what others think about us when what we should be doing is worrying about whether we are doing the right thing.
Good morning. I wondered why the immigration agreement fell apart last night. It seems our side of the aisle got smart and actually read the proposed legislation and found these tidbits:
Like that surprise hidden on page 302 - which would replace the country's entire bench of experienced immigration judges with pro-immigration advocates.
With a few exceptions, today's immigration judges (who serve for life) are dedicated to enforcing the law, and they do a difficult job well. This bill forces all immigration judges to step down after serving seven years - and restricts replacements to attorneys with at least five years' experience practicing immigration law.
Virtually the only lawyers who'll meet that requirement are attorneys who represent aliens in the immigration courts - who tend to be some of the nation's most liberal lawyers, and who are certainly unlikely as a class to be fond of enforcing immigration laws.
Just before the committee approved the bill on the evening of March 27, Sen. Richard Durbin (D-Ill.) offered the "DREAM Act" as an amendment. It passed on a voice vote.
The DREAM Act is a nightmare. It repeals a 1996 law that prohibits state universities from offering in-state tuition rates to illegal aliens. The principle, of course, is that no illegal alien should be entitled to receive a taxpayer-subsidized benefit that out-of-state U.S. citizens can't get. But the committee's bill allows illegals to be treated better than those U.S. citizens on tuition.
Interesting that fact is one of the "biggies" in the adjustment for mid life.. some never do it. I admire that about our president. We may NOT agree with him but he does what he thinks is right despite Party sentiment, Polls(valid or not); public sentiment; the RATS, other countries..
another line...FReepmail to chair & ML...
I forgot to provide a link for that information about illegal immigration.
And I forgot to post this information as well:
In 1986, the terrorist Mahmud "The Red" Abouhalima fraudulently got amnesty as a seasonal agricultural worker (in fact, he was a New York cabbie). That status allowed him to travel to Afghanistan for terrorist training - which he later used as one of the 1993 World Trade Center bombers.

Make that Senator Sessions from the Great State of Alabama. He's a keeper.
Nothing will. rolling eyes....
Do you have a link on that? thanks in advance
